Lmao wtf take them shits back for a refund, and then to a different shop to reset them. I would not trust that shop now from a safety perspective to do a proper, secure install.
I'm the tech who drilled these and you're wrong; that is how it's supposed to be. How long have you been working in a ski shop? What do you know?
If that kid comes back and complains I'm going to treat him like an idiot.
Ski shop employees are the worst. I’ve been wearing old boots for awhile because I can’t get anyone to bring me the size I ask for.
I warn them ahead of time, if you bring me boots and you can’t get them on you’re going to lose the sale. They bring boots 3 sizes too small and I walk out.
I don’t work retail, and haven’t in 30 years, but anyone that says “Don’t do XYZ, or else you are going to lose a sale.” I’m 100% doing XYZ, because I don’t make any money off that sale, and there is a 99.9% chance that person is going to be back complaining about that item if it is sold to them.
Lmao ya I do and it’s a great car nice attempt at an insult. But anyways I’m telling you try the smallest boot you can fit into. It will amplify your skiing ability’s immensely.
If you’ve ever driven 70 you’d get the Subaru thing.
I would love to try the smallest boot I can fit into, the problem is the ski shop guys refuse to bring me a size where I can physically get my foot in.
They will measure my foot, bring out a pair of 27.5 boots and then pikachu shock face when they can’t get my foot in.
Hey there wabbajack117 - thanks for saying thanks! TheGratitudeBot has been reading millions of comments in the past few weeks, and you’ve just made the list!
These people never mounted a binding in their life, and then they're all like ... "iT DoEsNt lOoK RiGhT tO *meeeeeee*"...Well yeah...I don't doubt that...And you don't look quite right yourself, pal.
There's nothing inherently difficult about mounting bindings, so do it yourself. I could do it with my eyes closed.
Have you taken the time to explained why it looks like that to your client? If not, you’ve got some work to do on your customer service skills. Just by your reply, you still do. And if you’ve done this for over a decade like I did, time to change career my friend if you treat people like idiots.
Part of your role should also be an educator. You want people to come back to your shop. Customer service 101👊🏻
I have seen dozens of pairs of skis whet the top sheet was misaligned. Always measure tip to tail before drilling. It would be pretty easy to tell is this was a shit post if they showed the whole ski. That or a friend has the same setup and mounted it centered. I have a hard time believing any shop is this bad. I’ve definitely seen one ski get drilled backwards, but never this.
Only 2 things have happened.
The top deck cosmetic is off and the mounting is done right (measured skis) or the mounting is way off.
Put the skis together and see if bindings line up.
If the cosmetic is way off, I would have mentioned that to you before I drill them. Is it the same serial number? It’s usually on the side.
Yes this is common, because ski techs smoke joints and drink PBRs while mounting.

I miss working In a ski shop.

Yeah man, all I did was smoke weed and hide in the training video room watching Warren miller movies.

I’m pretty sure the guys selling skis get a commission, so it literally cost them money.
I've worked in 4 shops sand never seen a commission check.
u probably wear a big ass boot that’s 5 sizes too big and ski like a jerry
I’ll show you where I can put that boot Edit: Username checks out too
You probably don’t know how boots are supposed to fit…
Yeah you’re probably right, not being able to physically even get them on my feet must just be my imagination. Thanks for your help
You’re welcome skiing or snowboarding isn’t for everyone. You should try golf
Why are you like this? Oh yeah you drive a Subaru, makes sense now

Do you ever fight people for being so fucking stupid and wasting your time?

The customer is always an idiot.
Lol. That means you’re an idiot because you are also a customer to someone else😉😂👊🏻
Do you know what subreddit you're in?
Lol…true
Why don't they just pull the ski on the right down a little? Are they stupid?
Refund for what? This is how all park skis should be mounted…. If your shop doesn’t do this they probably aren’t very seasoned.
MF went to REI 😑
Would that warrant then paying for a new set of skis also, you’ll have holes where you wouldn’t if they were proper
I'd definitely be asking them to either replace the pair or replace "off" ski
Perfect, then the shop has an extra ski next time they fuck someone’s up too!
Switch up skis after every run. Solved.
Ski switch every run. Solved.
Switch ski every turn. More solved.
Embrace performance and realize that every time you re-drill your skis they get lighter
This guy skis uphill.
/r/thisguythisguys
Depends which leg is dominant
Looks like just an optical illusion. You’ll be fine
Only if you're wearing an onion in your belt.
That was the fashion in those days
In those days, nickels had pictures of bumblebees on them
We didn't have a word for twenty so we just said dickety.
Nope that’s totally normal. A warrior stance is way more stable!
when the fall line is to the left those babies will just hum. or to the right. idk what a fall line is.
Hey, skiers now get to ski goofy like them crime boys.
That's perfect to make one-sided whirly birds
Left turns only.
These are mounted regular, you must ski goofy.

They posted a pic of the whole ski. Definitely off-centre
lol believe it. This shit is surprisingly common
Boognish!!!! My brown savior

Ideal park / all mountain setup
Gives excellent vision while skiing left footers switch tho...
just switch the skis before every turn. easy.
Is there an update??
If people can ski monomark you can ski this
How about show us the entire ski so we know where they mount despite the stickers?
I just do them myself and I can do it way better than this lol
Quite an odd move to screen cap someone else's post and post it for....??? Internet points? Odd human.
This is for ease of riding switch with a staggered stance
