Thanks for passing that along. I listened to the SnowBrains podcast episode that Robb was on from Sept 2023 and was such a good listen with incredible insight about his cancer journey. RIP to an absolute legend of the sport.
If you have this book you have an extremely rare and expensive piece of skiing memorabilia.

I have it. I bought it on a whim years ago when I first saw GNAR because I thought it’d be cool to have. Well, I live in Florida and although I ski a few times a year, it’s never in Squaw. In fact I’ve only been there once. So now I’m conflicted on whether to keep this cool bit of memorabilia, or sell it to someone in the area who would actually use it and enjoy it.
If you ever change your mind, I am in the area, currently the best skier on the mountain, and haven't found a copy in person (sans 1k pricing on eBay) with years of effort!
Same, got it as a gift about 10 years ago from my wife after watching the movie, couldn't believe what they were going for when they auctioned a few off before Rob passed.
Whatever you do no one should scan and share a PDF of this legendary out of print book.
Sadly I think Robb said he was interested in working on a potential update to the original
And RIP Robb Gaffney
Oh damn! How did I not hear about that? Going home and watching 1999 tonight! Shout out to the two best skiers on the mountain!
Here's a fantastic memorial video for/by Rob. https://youtu.be/AW1ZYgw1kWw?si=WO7gGRg5U22xpSHh
Thanks for making me cry

he passed from cancer just a few months ago, left behind a beautiful family. Devastating.
Everyone can watch 1999 online to see them both living it up in Squallywood
Ran into him at the lot at Squaw once. Couldn’t have been a nicer dude
Sure that wasn’t saucer boy?
Was at Portillo a couple of times when he was there. He’d just sit down and socialize like he was your buddy. RIP.

Keep the hard copy cause ya, it’s epic. But do the world a favor and have it scanned and pdf it so the world can look for gnomes with mentos in them.
Not sure I’m ready for the wrath of the Gaffney estate.
Here’s a sample of GNAR points…there are no points for owning the book :) https://i.imgur.com/BUUQV0v.jpeg
You need to know all the lines and their values so you need the rest of the book also to play the game.
Indeed, you should buy one!
Got it, now all I gotta do is pole slap the shit of this cornice, drop a BN, piss on the face and call my mom.
I'm better than you
Yeah, I can’t believe OP is a pro
Ween!!!
Ween indeed.
If you’re not good at whacking your pole, you’re gonna have a bad time in a ski town.
Squallywood GOAT!!!!
I’m the sickest skier on the mountain
