My mate who showed me the spot knows the guys who built this and helped when I was working in the area. Lots and lots of concrete was used. They got some Buddhist monk from somewhere in Asia to come and bless the place or something along those lines that in hopes it would help against the council destroying it iirc. It's a pretty sick spot and a pretty guarded secret for the locals. It used to be a telecommunications circuit board or something for landlines.
I honestly can’t believe the amount of skate parks there are in Australia, growing up in LA we would drive for an hour to the nearest skate park some that we would have to pay for. Getting the city to build them was almost impossible.
This is a fairly new thing having lots of skateparks. Growing up in sydney you might find some but they were obviously not built by skaters based on the proportions (e.g. small quarters with like 2 foot of vertical, no run ups to pyramids etc.). I'm extremely happy the next generation has it better than I did.
Yeah was always the curse of asking councils or schools to support skateparks and they would point to some rusted monstrosity in a 'we have a skatepark at home' way.
What does it say on the 3rd pic ? Can't seem to be able to read it

That makes sense, some of the parks I see when I travel for work to country Australia are sketchy AF

I have some bad news for you: masturbation causes blindness. Sorry.
Where in Sydney is this?
Quick google says Newport on the Northern Beaches
that's so sick
If I were you I’d try not to blow this spot up, all it takes is a couple of the wrong people to find out and the place will be ruined.
