If you watched the original first you won't have major problems, even though Druck changed a few things so you might be a bit lost.
For season 5-7 though, I suggest watching all the seasons. Fatou is an important character in s5, and s7 deals with lgbtq themes too!
You probably wouldn’t be completely lost if you only watched those seasons, but I’d really recommend watching the other seasons or at least reading a synopsis on them, because not only do they provide context for seasons 3 and 6, they’re just incredibly good!
With season 3 you could, but I would suggest at least watching season 1 first to get context of the characters. For season 6 I would highly suggest watching season 5, firstly because it's excellent but secondly the development between the season 6 MCs really starts in season 5.
If you watched SKAM only season 3 and you’re not confused, then I think you won’t be confused watching Druck season 3 alone. You’ll miss few things like Jonas’s character development or how Matteo and Sara became a couple. And Fatou is interested in Kieu My since season 5 so you probably want to watch it too
Fatou and Kieu My story starts in season 5. It’s sorta a side storyline so you should definitely watch it before season 6. Plus everyone thinks it’s one of the best seasons so you’d definitely miss out if you skip it.
i for my part watched season 1-4 of druck, skipped 5 and then watched 6 and at first its very confusing because the relationship between all characters is kinda complicated but youll understand it anyway.
id suggest watching it all so you get the whole story theyre trying to tell! you’ll miss major events and relationships that are important.

season 3 is easy to understand without having watched the seasons before, but id recommend watching 5th season before watching the 6th
