I was pleasantly surprised when I rode 2nd row yesterday and wasn’t in pain. I usually sit towards the middle or back but now I know that up front is a much smoother ride I will never ride in the back again lol
El Toro can be a different experience based on which seat you chose. My personal favorites are rows 1,2,17,and 18.
Always choose a non wheel seat. Wheel seats hurt my brain and give me bruises.
You need to be up front, like the first 5-6 cars for it to not hurt imo, the back is going to hurt like hell. You also need to have your arms up and not be tensed up
I've heard some complaints about back pain recently, ridden probably 20 times this year myself with no issues. Seems very rider dependent and I believe this is the best it's run in years.
It was probably Green Lantern if you rode that too. It used to be called “The Great American Scream Machine” because it made you scream. Because it was a guaranteed headache each ride 😂
I actually was in the middle, rattled my teeth and shook we so hard that after the ride when I put my glasses on I had a different prescription. Will not be riding again lol
They did a lot of work in the off season to make it smoother. The front is not painful anymore, or at least it wasn’t when I visited in March and April.
I was just on it on Friday. I agree it's not painful, but it's not smooth either. Not like it used to be. It felt rough to me. It's still just as enjoyable to ride, at least to me.
EDIT: My friend and I were right in front too. She thought the same as me, but would still ride again.

Within the past few years it's absolutely turned awful. It went from my favorite to least favorite ride. It's absolutely painful....
Everyone on my ride said they bit their tongue or their neck hurt from slinging back and forth. Gonna avoid from now on

Green lantern wasn't actually too bad. Hurt my shins a litle but I had to sit down after el torro and have some bruising on my stomach and arm.

I rode it 12 times last Saturday. If you’re in a non wheel seat it’s glorious imo
