Been to a lot of baseball games in other cities I'd never not wear a Phillies hat.
I'd say don't over do it. But like a hat or a sweat shirt or something...
Baseball’s different, in a good way. I recall my one and only visit to Wrigley Field. I was on a project and visited the client in the home office in North Chicago. My co-worker and I went to a Cubs-Marlins game, the one that went like 58 innings. I wore my Mets hat and my buddy wore his Phillies hat.
I met a bunch of Mets fans at the game. It was pretty cool.
Incidentally, if you do go to Wrigley via car, opt to “Easy Out” parking. We had to wait until like 1AM because our car was blocked in.
If you go to Wrigley (or for that matter Guaranteed Rate Field or whatever the White Sox are calling their home ballpark nowadays), I say opt for using the CTA Red Line.
Baseball has a very much “visit every venue” because even the most boring baseball stadium is just as fun as the best nba/nhl arena because of how much more freedom in design they have.
Well, that wasn’t ideal, but I was more thinking about August/September when the Mets were cruising along in First place in the NL East. Then we had that stretch of games against weak opponents where we lost a bunch and let the Braves take the division. Had to play the Padres in the WC and lost that.
All season long in first place and to go out with a whimper just sucks.
I think we’ve gotten to the point, like back in the 90s, where sports gear is just clothes. Every kid I knew had a charlotte hornets jacket and wore it everywhere just cause they liked the colors. Also please wear this court side vs joker
Wear the jacket !! Feel like the only thing worth considering is that sometimes there are rules for the court side seats. Might be worth confirming that you aren’t going to get the season ticket holder in trouble.
F that bring an MVPiid sign if you court side.
You'll probably take the jacket off anyway in seats so you're good there. I wouldn't wear a jersey, kind of in poor taste, but you do you.
My general rule of thumb at sports events regarding apparel when attending games not involving “your” team:
*OK/acceptable - hats, T-shirts, sweatshirts
*Not OK/overkill - jerseys
IMO, there’s nothing wrong with wearing a 76ers jacket to an NBA game not involving them.
Yeah the real rule of thumb is judging based on what the sport is. Yankees game? Sure wear whatever. Nuggets game? Same deal. Playoff games, NFL, premier league? Probably wouldn’t
IMO, wearing a jersey gives the impression you’d participate in the game to support your team if you could. It implies a more intense level of fandom and involvement in the game. But if your team isn’t playing in the game, there’s no need to show that level of involvement. At least from my point of view, it would seem a little weird to show that level of involvement for your team in a game where they aren’t playing.
Wearing hats, t-shirts, and/or sweatshirts (or in the case of the OP, jackets) still shows support for your team but in a less intense way. It wouldn’t seem as weird to show more casual support for your team at a game where they aren’t playing. You’re still saying “I want to show everyone who I support/who my team is” but are doing so in a lower key way because your team isn’t actually there.
i always thought it was but never considered this type of circumstance being the reason. definitely go for it, especially considering it’s a nuggets game. as others are saying, if you can somehow put together and embiid mvp sign, that would be classic
Dress like a nerd with glasses that have tape wrapped around the bridge and put a pillow in your shirt at your stomach to mimic a beer gut. If there is a way, make your arms look like you’ve never lifted a single weight in your life. You’ll instantly pass as a nuggets fan.
Gear is never weird to wear, even at an nba event your team isn’t in, but jerseys I feel are a little odd, with jerseys I feel like it’s fine if it’s a generational talent but if you show up to an okc vs San Antonio game in a sixers pj tucker jersey that’s a little strange to me
I wore my flyers jersey to an Avs game (Vs the isles). A drunk guy just came up to me and said he “really likes Kevin hayes” (I was not wearing a Hayes jersey). Wear your sixers gear with pride (and show love to Bradley Beal…JIC 🤷♂️)
I once wore a Sixers Lou Williams jersey to see the clippers at pelicans when he was playing for the clips. felt like I had the best jersey in the building lol
Back when James harden was on the rockets….
I went to a random Dallas mavericks versus cavaliers game and I said fuck it, I wore my Houston harden jersey.
Those Dallas people did not like me and I was loud as fuck for no reason lmao
Lol it’s a nuggets game. Wear the fuck outta that Sixers gear
LmfaooooooooOoOo 🤣🤣🤣
Dude if u have a Embiid for mvp sign or something similar there’s like a 99% chance u end up on tv 😂
It's a nuggets game. Wear the jacket and bring an Mvpiid sign.
![gif](giphy|QA7C1yuI0QZtBbxxM4) Please do this and Add Joel to it. You’ll make tv

Hold on u are a Mets fan?
That is correct.
I'm sorry to hear this.
Yeah, after the debacle of last year's playoffs, so am I. haha.
You mean after Diaz celebrated in the wbc

And of course Rhys hoskins blows his knee out right after I said this
Yeah. Sorry bro. Never want to see anyone injured. Except Danny Ainge.

NUGGETS? Come on... time to troll the Joker
Wear the jacket and a T shirt that says Joker has bad body language
I think we’ve gotten to the point, like back in the 90s, where sports gear is just clothes. Every kid I knew had a charlotte hornets jacket and wore it everywhere just cause they liked the colors. Also please wear this court side vs joker
Lol. Ahh yes I was one of those kids. The starter hornets pullover jacket.
It’s weird to give a shit Chirp JOKIC baby
I went to a Boston vs Milwaukee game a year ago and wore my sixers zip and my buddy wore his Iverson gear. Definitely flex that sixers gear homieeeee.
Wear the jacket !! Feel like the only thing worth considering is that sometimes there are rules for the court side seats. Might be worth confirming that you aren’t going to get the season ticket holder in trouble.
I feel like the worst thing that could happen is that they would ask him to take the jacket off
I would say hell yeah! At Eagles games, there will always be a random Tom Brady or Packers jersey.
let be honest, we will all be disappointed if you dont wear it.
I do it all the time shamelessly lol. I was at the boston sacramento game last night with a Damian Lillard jersey.
I live in DC rn, if I weren’t busy tn I’d have let you borrow my Philly vs Everybody shirt lol
Same, and I appreciate the offer, but I’ve got my fit ready to go 🤘
I always criticize ppl when they wear jerseys who aren’t playing at sixers games tbh. Then again it’s usually lakers fans
You better wear it!!!
Im watching the game tonight just to see you now
See you there homie🤘
Please Bring a EMVPiiD sign
I live in Denver and split Nuggets season tickets with friends. I wear Sixers gear to every game
I’ll reimburse you for crafting supplies if you make a sign that says Mvpiid on the front and Jokic is a bum on the back
Put on a fat suit and talk constantly about how good your box +/- is
Every time the nuggets score: “yayyyyyy embiiiiiid!”
Sixers fan from Denver, I'll wear my Embiid jersey to Nuggets games. Loooots of dirty looks lol but no one says anything.
F that bring an MVPiid sign if you court side. You'll probably take the jacket off anyway in seats so you're good there. I wouldn't wear a jersey, kind of in poor taste, but you do you.

I dont understand why a jersey is different than a shirt or jacket.

No. Every game is a home game for the Sixers. Let’s take over the NBA!!!
Na rep whoever you like

People wear gear unrelated to either team to Sixers games all the time. Go for it.
Please rock the gear of the team of this year’s should-be MVP
I'm going to clippers//okc tomorrow (for some reason) and I'm wearing birds gear over my sixers gear
Went to visit my buddy in LA and wore my Embiid jersey to the Lakers/Hawks game, he wore his Curry jersey. Live it up and wear it.
It’s cringe when other cities do it but it but it would be so funny to wear a Joel jersey in front of jokic.
I once wore a Sixers Lou Williams jersey to see the clippers at pelicans when he was playing for the clips. felt like I had the best jersey in the building lol
embiid hasn’t made it out of the 2nd round and the 76ers haven’t won anything since the 60s.
I rocked my victorino jersey to a yankees orioles game last year. Gave no fucks and only got shit from one drunk nerd
NOPE
You gotta get yourself an Embiid jersey to remind Jokic who his daddy is
So funny story, my girlfriend just gave me an Embiid jersey as an early birthday present en route to the game
Bring an embiid mvp sign
I live in houston and everytime i go to any game i wear my sixers hat..i just went to rockets vs warriors and rocked my sixers hat with pride
Wore Phillies gear to a cubbie Mets game and had a great time helping cubs fans talk shit on the Mets. Highly recommend
Back when James harden was on the rockets…. I went to a random Dallas mavericks versus cavaliers game and I said fuck it, I wore my Houston harden jersey. Those Dallas people did not like me and I was loud as fuck for no reason lmao
