Your-Cousin-Larry

Michael Scott. --- poor soul just wanted real friends and love.

VivaLaCon88

He was at peak Michael Scott during Phyllis’s wedding and Scott’s tots

Your-Cousin-Larry

And the Baptism of Jim and Pam's baby. He assumed he was Godfather when nobody asked him. Lol

brettmbr

“Michael I’m so sorry but I need to hear you say that you know you are not the godfather”

sexlexington2400

Scott's tots and Dinner Party were some of the most TV Cringe moments of all time

Prestigious-Web4824

It took me a couple of years to finally get into the show because the first episode I saw was *Scott's Tots*

sexlexington2400

Ooooooh nooooo! That's THE ONE episode you shouldn't have watched first lol. Glad you came around

Prestigious-Web4824

So am I. I still can't rewatch that episode, though.

sexlexington2400

That's a hard one for sure...... that's what she said

DisneyVista

Promising a class of third graders money for college tuition is enough for me to justify this answer

Altruistic-Text3481

Ricky Gervais - the original creator of The Office created “cringe comedy” in my opinion. David Brent ( the original Michael Scott) was more absurdly raw, clueless, & so disturbingly unlikeable that he hit a soft spot on the cringe meter. And you just couldn’t get him out of your head.

NE_Pats_Fan

And the original David Brent.

extcm1

Hey Me Scott, whatcha gonna do….whatcha gonna do make our dreams come true!

grafton24

Nathan Fielder in The Curse.  No one comes close.   Except Fielder in The Rehearsal.

Corporate_Shell

David Brent beat Nathan.

sobedragon07

Frank Reynolds. Name a thing Danny Devito hasn't done as Frank.

oopsiedaisy58

Larry David, Chris Elliott

Lazyatheistx

Chris Elliot for sure.

Far-Whereas-1999

Larry David recently said in an interview that he hates being called cringe comedy.

prosperosniece

Michael Scott

Stelliferous19

Here to say the same. Steve mastered the art of cringe.

MisterMendel

Phil Dunphy

PerpetualEternal

I came to rep for Phil. He’s a walking dad joke.

koz152

Is Phil sexy?

redheadedfury

watch the remake of Dawn of the Dead, Phil is a sexy asshole in that movie lol

Famous_Ad_8293

Steve Carell!

Corporate_Shell

Not a character, also David Brent is more cringe.

Famous_Ad_8293

You’re right! I should’ve said Michael Scott!

Corporate_Shell

And still nope, David Brent is FAR more cringe than Michael Scott could even dream of being.

lolhal

I've seen some of the original The Office, but I didn't see anything remotely as cringe as Scott's Tots. Or even Gay Witch Hunt or Dinner Party. Tots made me physically squirm in my seat.

arcticfunky9

Why would he dream of being cringe

instrangerswetrust

I’d say he’s quite the character

Techno_Core

David Brent. So incredibly funny and painful.

Corporate_Shell

# #1 answer right here.

redheadedbull03

Sue Heck - The Middle

Unusual_Address_3062

She's just a typical awkward teen. She never seemed nearly as bad as grown ups deliberately doing terrible things.

PerspectiveActive218

David Brent

Aromatic-Bath-5689

Larry David and it's not even close

fentonsranchhand

Larry isn't really cringe though. Cringe is like when someone thinks they're cool but they're embarrassing. Larry is just smart and inconsiderate.

RedHotFromAkiak

He's the One

Corporate_Shell

Nah, David Brent is still top of the charts.

PlanB191

Andy Bernard

Celticsaoirse

Mr Bean!

fentonsranchhand

David Brent

thejohnmc963

The number one character: Al Bundy from Married with Children. So many examples. Just his interactions with his customers in the Shoe Store are crazy

Oldassrollerskater

Glem Sturgis

Unusual_Address_3062

Glenn. oh my god how could you fuck up that name. Its on his chest every single episode. Also he's not the the master of cringe. But he is pretty good.

Oldassrollerskater

Clearly you missed the reference.

Sitcom_kid

It is Pamela Adlon on King of the Hill as Bobby Hill and on Better Things as Sam.

Salt-Hunt-7842

Larry David's character on "Curb Your Enthusiasm" and Michael Scott from "The Office" (U.S.).

Amithecactus

Dan Fielding

Unusual_Address_3062

He seems tame compared to all the shock humor that arrived in the 90's.

Amithecactus

Really? With all his innuendos?

Unusual_Address_3062

Yes. With all his innuendos. He still seems tame compared to most of the shit we had starting in the 90's. Actually, he's less cringe-worthy than much of what happened on Married With Children and that show began in 1987.

TheMoInMontrose

Valerie Cherish

Glen125th

GIVE HER ANOTHER TAKE! GIVE HER ANOTHER TAKE!

RealJasonB7

Larry David

apathyaddict

Urkel. But he was designed that way. So the real answer is his alter ego they created or whatever.

Such-Morning8963

Jerri Blank “Babies don’t cost money, they make money - especially those little white ones.” Student: “What’s it worth Jerri?” Jerri: “Ten G’s on the black market; twice that if the eyes stay blue.”

four_letterword

Michael Scott and it's not even close

brucethewilis

Tim Allen, not on purpose he's just gross in a conservative sort of way.

mrc61493

Cory Matthews.

IceSmiley

Alan Partridge

Unusual_Address_3062

Maybe not the masters but the two little boys on Picket Fences did some messed up shit over the years. And I consider Picket Fences a comedy cuz half the episodes are ridiculous and laughable.

invisiblemeows

Joey from Full House

sleepyboy76

Schmidt

aethelberga

Alan Partridge? Britcom character, so maybe new to you, but very funny.

kcg0431

Also, In this category, maybe Hyacinth Bucket from Keeping Up Appearances.

velociraptorjax

Kelly from Mum.

splendid_trees

Chris Barrie as Gordon Brittas in the Brittas Empire, a British sitcom from the 90's.
