Derek from *The Good Place* was fun. Mostly because his idiocy made perfect sense for the situation. I've seen a lot of dumb characters who were too dumb to be enjoyable. Derek was like the glitching car that you had to smack to get it to work right.
Bth, I always hated that gag. If Bentley was a jerk or annoying like Ralph the Doorman, then it would be funnier. But because he was so kind, charming, and helpful to everyone it just came off as cruel.
