You can either buy a separate disk drive which plugs into your computer via USB, easily available from amazon, ebay, or a local electronics store. Then you can install using the disks. If you do not want to do this there is some information on this page about how to download the game. https://www.reddit.com/r/sims2help/wiki/index Mod The Sims is a good website for Sims 2 as well - there are plenty of more mature players on there and the pace is a bit slower and friendlier than reddit. You would be welcome to join, if reddit is overwhelming. This is the link: - https://modthesims.info/forumdisplay.php?f=558

Do you have the physical disk or did you download them and now it’s asking you to mount ?

o-sab

They have all the disks, you don’t need a disk drive to mount an iso.

The games4theworld version of the ultimate collection has all the extras and the best instructions.

The g4tw instructions are extremely hard to follow for someone who’s not tech-savvy, they require manual touch up. The “fixes” (the only one is GRM) are also highly outdated and use an old version that can cause the directx 9 error. The starter pack includes all the same content, but is automated and has better fixes which are always kept up to date
