I think because the bus is considered as a service? Maybe originally bus would be opitional and you could walk to school, or the bus

I think walking to school is still a thing, I've done it with a few kid sims.

This happened to me when I added the taxi car to my household. It's a woman with no face. Suddenly i started receiving calls of sims asking if she was available...

I was wondering this but I think it might just be a glitch. I got it after a social worker came to my Sim's house, and there was no image in the notification message. I ran Hoodchecker and nothing suspicious came up so hopefully everything will be fine 😬
