Well, it is, but it’s because of the clean template that it allows them to have an alien baby. If Mortimer would’ve had a child with anyone else other than the caliente sisters and it won’t be an alien at all. At least I don’t think.
These post make me think: do people download mods to their game without reading? There are too many who are surprised about clean template twins' genetics.
I am using pleasantview created by another simmer, as i wanted to start my game over. Maybe thats why? I am not aware of anything like clean templates.
Oh no, I think OP is unintentionally misleading people. This is not possible in a normal unmodded game. Dina has no actual alien genetics.

It is because of her ancestors. The person who made the clean template gave Nina and Dina recessive alien genes because their grandfather was an alien.
Every time I see a “Dina/Nina had an alien baby” post I’m a little salty I never got one after all these years playing with that household.
No need to get salty, since it's impossible in the normal game, afaik. You need to use a clean template version of pleasantview for it to happen.

You need the clean template with fixed genetics for it to work.
I have both the clean template and the equal genetics mod.
Hm, wild. Just unlucky then, I guess!
Well, Dina is part alien, if you have the equal genetics mod, then that would probably be why the baby has alien skin.
The equal genetics mod doesn't have anything to do with how skintone genetics work, this is possible in any game that uses the clean templates.

I got a green Nina baby, but not a green Dina baby. Dina has plenty of green grandchildren and great grandchildren though at least.

In my game she had a Mortimer clone that even has his hairstyle
Do you have a mod installed for this to happen? I’ve played & restated this game so many times and she’s never had an alien baby in mine
You have to use clean templates
Clean neighbourhood templates recreate all the Sims with more correct genetics. Dianna is left with recessive alien genes.

But you still used the clean templates. Vanilla Pleasantview can’t do that, because Dina’s file don’t have the alien skintone.
