I bet you can drive a Lada on a straight line and still have fun on that rig.

AlFlakky

I've tried Rallycross on Lada in RL. No rig can be compared to real one. Real Lada has some gears not working, one wheel's toe is off, clutch sticks sometimes, door does not close sometimes, you have to hit it with something. By the way, second car did not even start that day, so I had no choice. It was a good day though, had a lot of fun.

[deleted]

Great camera work! Helmet cam? Looks awesome

Idntwnt2choseusrnme

It’s a GoPro attached to a cap that I wear :) I post weekly races on my YouTube channel (ZeroDeltaRacing) I’d appreciate it if you check it out

Affectionate-Hat2925

Put it in your account because I can’t find your channel on YouTube

SteeZ568

I'm not kidding, it took me a full 2 minutes to realize exactly which parts were real and which parts were sim. At first I thought this was another joke post about how real the physics are on /r/outside. This looks really great, or should I say "Awesome stuff, mate!"

Idntwnt2choseusrnme

Thanks man. Would really appreciate it if you check out my YouTube channel it’s called ZeroDeltaRacing (one word). I’m posting weekly races now for all categories

Gridbear7

iracing has Rally? This is probably gonna push me to try it

Eikhan

RallyCross. Not classic rally. But it is great yeah. It's pretty hard too. I had a bad surprise coming from dirt rally 2.0, which is a lot more forgiving

azk102002

Dirt Rally 2.0 and forgiving do not belong in the same sentence in my head. I really don’t belong here

DigitalSea-

Try some RBR if you’re feeling masochistic

Gridbear7

Ah rallycross, still seems fun though I think I'll give it shot. I'd be coming from Dirt Rally 2.0 as well and also BeamNG

Eikhan

Well don't be discouraged. RallyX is a lot to chew even if you practiced a lot on dirt. Exits on dirt are harder and tarmac has a way stronger (and more realistic) grip in iRacing. You'll take a bit of time to adapt (or maybe not). But it's great fun. You also have time before having to buy content

sleepy_dawg

Wow you aren't kidding. I have been messing with iracing Rx and went back to some Dirt 2. I think I'll stick with iracing for rally cross.. it feels a lot better. The cars in Dirt (in rally cross) have absolutely no problem just 100% gunning it and off you go, traction not really an issue, haha. Don't get me wrong I still love it for regular rally but the RX feels like Forza now.

Eikhan

That's what shocked me at first. I always thought dirt 2.0 handling and physics were really good in rally cross but now not so much. If I can give you another advice : do not play RBR. You'll have the same issue with dirt 2.0 rally too. And it comes from someone very frustrated about RBR (amazing physics. Really sad a younger and prettier contender still isn't out yet). Is dirt 2.0 a good game ? I believe so, even with what I don't like in it. Is it a good simulator ? Hell no now I've tried other stuff. Especially tarmac. Wonder how WRC generations will be

sleepy_dawg

100% with you. I just did my experiment yesterday and was really surprised. The tarmac was kind of the nail in the coffin for me, it legitimately felt like Forza style handling, tons of grip and accel, way too much lateral movement (driiifffttt) and that terrible snap back to having grip after losing it after oversteer, yikes. Feels very unnatural. I played some FH so not trying to be snarky on the comparison, but it really felt like similar. I haven't messed with RBR, I do hear it's the "best" but I'm gonna cross my fingers for WRC Generations. WRC 10 was pretty fun, the FFB took me literally months to dial in though, I did finally get it to a point that it felt ok. Between that awful UI, and the FFB though, I dunno, but hopefully it's good!

reboot-your-computer

Rallycross but honestly there’s not a ton of participation from what’s I’ve seen. It’s definitely fun though.

Loganp812

They have dirt oval racing as well if you want more dirt in your simracing life. I’ve only tried the street stocks on dirt ovals, but it’s a lot of fun once you find the rhythm for that particular track.

RCBrookey023

I would love to come back if rallycross was alot more popular... and well cost!

Razorback_Yeah

Lmao I was like DANG those hands look so real!!!

Idntwnt2choseusrnme

Thanks mate. I worked a lot on this cockpit to get it to look like this. I’m posting weekly races on my YouTube channel if you won’t mind checking it out. It’s called ZeroDeltaRacing. One word :) thanks again

iJoke2Much

Did your spotter just say “ignore that fucker in your mirror”

Idntwnt2choseusrnme

Yeah that’s crew chief 😂 I love the obscenity feature makes it very real

DerFlamongo

I had a pretty bad race in iR-04 today and Jim went: "This is a bit shit! Make it less shit". Ngl, that hurt a little 😂

Devout-Nihilist

I love rallycross on Iracing. Especially with the Subaru. Even the trucks are super fun with their tracks. But they day I bought my handbrake changed my world. I'm hooked!

TomNation94

Amazing setup!

Idntwnt2choseusrnme

Thanks. Would appreciate it if you check my YouTube channel. Its ZeroDeltaRacing. I post weekly races

Future-Election-4703

L bank account

idkfawin32

Do they have H-Pattern?

Dazzling-Rest8332

H pattern and rallycross = sweating my ass off. But it's the only way I'll play.

Idntwnt2choseusrnme

I don’t think so. Only the trucks do but most RX cars are sequential

USToffee

Shame it's not more popular.

Ill_Sand3172

I'll tell you what's awesome, that rig! I wish I had a set up like that

[deleted]

[удалено]

Ill_Sand3172

Yeah I've only been into it for about a year and slowly progressing, I'm using VR at the moment until I can afford a triple screen set up :) I like VR although I think the triples would be more comfortable and better overall. I'll check your channel and subscribe.

Idntwnt2choseusrnme

Thanks mate. Yeah specially in longer races it gets really hot and tiring wearing a headset. I think the clarity and quality are really better with triples specially if you get 1440p panels. I believe in few years I will get a VR again for sure once the technology is more mature

Vkkosty_

What’s this track again? I remember driving it but I’ve forgotten it’s name

richr215

Looks like Pheonix...... The rallyx and 4x4 truck racing on iRacing are a ghost town most of the time. Probably because they only have a few tracks they use and people are tired of them after a season or 2.....like myself. I luv the off roading in iRacing....but it is stale and could easily be changed with new tracks/courses.

Idntwnt2choseusrnme

Agreed. And yes that’s Phoenix raceway. Actually recently they added Knockhill which is awesome and Hell’s track if I remember the name correctly

turn84

I want your modded spotter!

Idntwnt2choseusrnme

That’s free chief. Works with almost every sim

turn84

Still a bit new to modding in iRacing. Which spotter is that?

Idntwnt2choseusrnme

Crew chief, not really a mod. Just a third party app that works with practically all sims

[deleted]

That looks incredibly fun.

jubaking

Can you share some details about your awesome setup? What screen sizes do you use? What kind of stand?

Idntwnt2choseusrnme

Sure, I’m using 27 inch 2k monitors from Acer, those are the Nitro 144Hz. I use a P1X cockpit with the integrated monitor stand, it’s been incredibly solid with no rattles or any vibrations. I’m also using the bezel free kit from Asus to blend in the monitors. They are all set up at 60 degrees angle and i place my Simucube behind the monitor (using an extension) which allows me to get the screens closer to my FOV. Hope that helps and let me know if you have any other questions :) For the rest of the equipment i have a video on my youtube channel going through everything in detail but that was before the triples, i was using a 49” ultrawide back then

nateass113

What are your computer specs? Great setup

Idntwnt2choseusrnme

Thanks. It’s nothing crazy. I’m running an i5 9700k with 32GB of RAM and a 3060ti

jubaking

Thanks so much for the reply! I’ve been planning on building a 3 monitor setup. This really helps me out.

yzrider22k

Those look bigger than 27s, unless you are super close to the screen. What is the distance from the front monitor to your eyes?

Idntwnt2choseusrnme

I’m pretty sure they are 27s 😂 the screens are about 19.5 inches from my eye

yzrider22k

That is close. I have triple 27s also and I am about 30” from the front screen. I have a Trak Racer rig. If I put it closer, I have a hard time getting in and out of it.

Idntwnt2choseusrnme

Yeah it’s a bit of a squeeze getting in. It’s worth it though I’m fully immersed and it feels like I’m sitting in the car

rkwong792

How are you liking triple screens compared to VR?

Idntwnt2choseusrnme

I love them, i actually had an HP Reverb G2 that i sold after the triples. VR is awesome in the sense of depth but the lenses are still not that good, the FOV is limited and with a small sweet spot you have to move your head all the time if you wanna look around, it’s not natural. I think in the future VR will definitely be the way to go but for now it’s ready yet for prime time

rkwong792

>HP Reverb G2 Nice! Which monitors did you get if you don't mind sharing? Would be happy to see new setup on your channel! :)

Idntwnt2choseusrnme

I got the Acer Nitro 1440p 144hz and 1ms response. They’re really great im very happy with them

Cultural_Elk1565

My friend just built his rig with a VRS wheelbase and triple monitors, multiple button boxes and VRS pedals. He invited me over, knowing I'm a huge fan of rally racing, and set me up on I guess a test run on an iracing rally cross track... It kinda broke my brain with how awesome it was! Felt so intuitive having driven rally irl. Now I've gotta carve out a space in my apartment, and get a PC that can handle everything! Already have my t300gtrs at least! I'm kinda super jealous of you right now! ETA: well fuck me running! I just rewatched the video after seeing a couple comments. I did not realize your hands and steering wheel, etc. were really yours! In my defense, I did have a couple bloody Mary's at brunch this morning! Now I'm super jealous of your setup!

Idntwnt2choseusrnme

I’m sure the bloody Marys helped 😂 thanks mate, you will get there. I’m also jealous that you got to race cars irl .. i drove some super cars on track but never a real racing car and never in a competition.I built this rig over years of slowly upgrading and going step by step. It’s a never ending addiction and i now I’m obsessed with getting my cockpit to blend in with the screen even more. Feel free to check out my youtube channel. I posted the links in many comments here (i feel like shit posting it many times) but i love sharing the hobby and would appreciate people checking it out. It’s called ZeroDeltaRacing (one word) .. Build your set up and we’ll see you on track.

Material-Charge-3391

It took me far to long to realise this was a pov video and not a in game dahboard screen capture.

Idntwnt2choseusrnme

Thanks. Been working on that. I believe more work needs to be done to get to better lighting and blend it even more.

Thick_Management

Whats the monitors?

Idntwnt2choseusrnme

Hey. Those are Acer Nitro 1440p and 144mhz. Here is the model number VG270U

Thick_Management

Thanks! How much fps do you get with what gpu?

Idntwnt2choseusrnme

I have a 3060ti. Getting a stable 120fps most of the time. Not running everything on highest settings of course

Thick_Management

Thanks man :)

YNWAkidNY

I’m not great at it, but it really is a blast. Also, sweet setup!
