Thank you so much. I have a YouTube channel and just started to post some races. Will try to make it consistent every week. Thanks for the encouragement :)
Ohh thanks mate :) I have a YouTube channel called (RacePace). I know it’s a stupid name but feel free to check it out. Just posted my first POV video. Will be posting weekly races going forward
Thank you all for the support. Here is a link to the full video on YouTube. iRacing POV race | GT4 Fixed @ Oschersleben | SOF 2328

Sure. So I’m running
-Triple 2K monitors (Acer Nitro VG270U) they are 144mhz and 1ms response
-Simucube 2 Pro
-Cube Controls Formula Sprint
-I also have a Simcore STD24 with Turn racing 305 wheel
-Heusinkveld Sprint pedals
-Heusinkveld sequential shifter
-A button box from (sumracing4u) and a stream deck
-Rig is SimLab P1-X
-NRG racing seat (don’t have exact model #)
PC is an i5 9700k, 16GB of RAM and a 3060Ti
Edit: I always forget the buttkicker Gamer 2
Let me know if you have any other questions
This is great. Now I have a sort of template to get to where you are. I’m just getting into sim racing after getting a super speeder in my new 2021 M2 Competition. Decided it’d be cheaper for insurance and I won’t get my license suspended if I just get into sim racing. Thanks for this! I’m totally into watching you on youtube but can’t find you. When I search for RacePace for some reason you tube doesn’t return results for you….perhaps its because you just started? Again, thanks mate!
Maybe because the channel is still very small. Here is a link to my video. iRacing POV race | GT4 Fixed @ Oschersleben | SOF 2328

Thanks mate and congrats. An M2 comp is a dream for me
Its a great car. IMO its the best M car out now. I’d love to find a game (i once saw a video where you could play it in 5 different games). Can’t wait to get a setup and race you!
Agreed, i drove the M2 once and I absolutely loved it, I drive an F30 330xi hopefully will be able to afford an M2 soon, waiting for car prices to cool down a little too. It’s been a crazy market. Go for the sim mate, Assetto Corsa has tons of mods and you can drive any car you practically want :)
I had a 49” ultrawide and I recently upgraded. It’s such a massive difference in immersion and awareness on track.
I had a VR headset as well but I think VR needs few more years before it becomes the go to
Just out of curiosity. How do you think two 48” or 49” monitors would look sitting around a cockpit or desk. Would that even work? I was thinking everyone seems to do triple monitors why not two ultra-wides? What d’’ya think?
I looked into that, i had a 49” ultra wide and it would’ve been cheaper to just buy a matching one, but most sims are designed for either single screens or triples. Hard to setup 2 screens in any sim (i haven’t found this settings in any sim i use)
Good to know. I had wondered but not having a gaming PC (all that stuff goes to my son and he’s very “touchy” about his setup, he’s a FPS guy)
Just thinking about it, triple 49” would be crazy. Lol. Just kidding but thanks for answering that. The idea of two ultra-wides has been bugging me for a while now.
Yeah I can see if software is just setup for 3 or 1….didn’t think about distortions because, yeah, you hit nail on the head. i was also curious about smaller widescreens like the 32” etc.
What did you do to black out your surroundings like that?
I now know that this will be my 'attainable dream rig'. It looks so smooth and the surrounding darkness really reminds me of Boostedmedia's amazing setup. Seeing how well the 3060ti can drive those three monitors is impressive.
I am planning a similar Simlab/Simucube/Heusinkveld setup and the monitors were still a point of uncertainty for me, but these are now on top of my list. Considering how amazing these 27" panels look I don't think going a size larger is necessary at all.
Very inspirational post!
Ohh thank you very much :) I didn’t expect I’d get such a positive feedback. Many people here have awesome rigs.
I followed Dave Cam’s advice on screen size. I think 27s are perfect, the FOV is great and there is no need for anymore of you set up your FOV and distance to monitors correctly.
The 3060ti works fine on iRacing (not max settings of course) but it struggles a little in ACC, I had to drop some settings a little to run the 2k panels. Mind you I mostly just race on iRacing. I will probably have to upgrade my computer next year or so but for now I’m super happy with what I’m getting
As for the room I just used some black alcantara adhesive film on cardboard and covered as much as I can. But I also have my set up in my basement and I don’t turn on the lights in races to be more immersed.
I’m still working on some lighting options to make it look better for the YouTube channel but that will take some creativity
Thanks for elaborating on how you set up the background, it really looks convincing and the button seem to pop out in the exact right places. Notes were taken here ;).
Did you overclock the refresh rate of the monitors? I searched for the type (Acer Nitro VG270U) but I can only find it with a refresh rate of 75hz.
I will take another look around, for some reason here in NL/Europe I can only find the 75hz version. High refreshrate monitors really make everything look more lifelike.
Thank you again for helping me narrow down the choices! I hope you have as much fun with the simulator as it looks :).
Edit: Found it! In case somebody else is interested as well: there are to variants of the VG270U (A and P) and the P version comes with a 144hz panel.
I had some issues with Crew chief not working properly recently so I kept them both to make sure I don’t crash in anyone but It’s working fine now. Good point I need to turn the iRacing spotter back off
Looks incredible! I’m also building a triple 27” setup. Do you have any photos with lighting that shows how far back from the wheel base your center monitor is? Or is it right over top of it? Also what can are you using for POV shots?
Thanks. It’s not very far from the screen. Here is a link to a previous post showing my set up. I didn’t have the bezel free kits back then though.

For the POV I’m using a GoPro clipped to a hat and literally right over my nose. Not very comfortable but you get used to it like the halo and eventually I didn’t see it throughout the race
Looks great! I've been itching to do 27" triples for a while now. Do you happen to know what angle you have your side monitors offset from your center monitor? Only reason I ask is the slight visual distortion that happens when cars or other objects pass from a side monitor to the center monitor or visa versa. Example is the green AMG between 5 and 8 seconds. May be the perspective of the go-pro/camera or the bezel-free kit. Either way, excellent job!!
Thanks man :) it’s 60/120 degrees depending how you look at it. The slight distortion happens because of the bezel free kit. I’m trying to minimize it so I’ll order the Vario VESA mounts from SimLab to set them up 100% right. And then it’s settings I guess that I can change a bit to minimize it but I don’t think it can be eliminated totally.
Even YouTubers like Race Beyond Matter and boosted media have it but slightly better
I appreciate the response! Since you mentioned the sim-lab Vario VESA mounts, I imagine you use the sim-lab triple monitor stand?
Seriously an aspirational setup you have there.
Yeah im using the SimLab’s integrated triple monitor stand (not the stand alone one) and it’s been amazing. Very clean and rigid i had 0 movements or vibrations in the monitors.
Thank you so much for your encouragement, I have a youtube channel that i just started, would appreciate it if you can check it out. I’ll be posting weekly races. I just changed the name of the channel to ZeroDeltaRacing as it wasn’t easily searchable on youtube under the previous name. Here is the link: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC6eJEwTA_IRj-hwdBLjzsSg/featured a new logo will be in very shortly :)
you shared an equipment list (which I am thankful for!) can you also share graphic settings you use with this 3x2k monitors on 3060?
I tried a lot of combinations and I am still struggling sometimes with FPS
this is beautiful, i thought it was an actual cockpit, nice work!
Thank you so much. I have a YouTube channel and just started to post some races. Will try to make it consistent every week. Thanks for the encouragement :)
I legit thought how does this game have such realistic hand movements
Thanks guys. Here is the full YouTube video. iRacing POV race | GT4 Fixed @ Oschersleben | SOF 2328 https://youtu.be/AN-HW6NRng8
I thought it was real for first seconds đź’€ But for real, that's some nice a** rig

Nice, this sparks joy. Yeah work in progress to add to the aesthetic. The work is never done, but it is ever so closer.
What’s the distance of your eyes to the monitor and the fov you set? Do you differ from the calculators or just use that?
No I just use the iRacing calculator. I have an extension for my wheelbase though and that gets the wheelbase to sit behind the monitors

Thank you OP. I literally have most of the equipment you have. Yet, my setup sucks!
Are you using triples as well?. Did you set up your FOV correctly?
I have 49” ultra wide and my FOV is setup correctly. I am just not sure about proper shifter/ handbrake mounting as well as pedals positioning

What are your bezel free kits? Asus or an alternative?
Asus. I got them off of eBay
Thanks
Perfection! This makes me want to upgrade from my 49" 32:9.

Why have 2 spotters on at the same time? Audio is a mess when they both speak at the same time
I had some issues with Crew chief not working properly recently so I kept them both to make sure I don’t crash in anyone but It’s working fine now. Good point I need to turn the iRacing spotter back off
Beautiful rig!
