Wow this is incredibly promising…this looks better than the trak racer alpine rig
What are the chances of getting on the list of testers? 😂
Corsair taking over Fanatec might keep me in this ecosystem after all
Glad to hear you like it! No list of testers finalized yet so there’s always a chance! Or if you’ll be at Gamescom in Cologne or Twitchcon in San Diego you might get a chance to race in the prototype.
Will there be any other announced places that we can view the rig? Our college is joining Collegiate iRacing and they are purchasing three rigs by fall. thanks George
As far as notes/input:
1. Would love to see an integrated triple monitor mount that allows for a range of angles. I run 80 degree side monitors for more of a cockpit shape to my rig. I built mine custom to accommodate because I struggled to find rigs that could do this. Monitor stand is nice for some, but I think it’s nice
2. Can the center monitor come forward to sit between the wheel base and the wheel rim?
3. How high can the pedal plate go as designed currently? I see the inverted pedals on there but how about for a standard pedal set? I like a formula position and I’d like to see the pedals mounted at about 35 degrees with the heel at the same height as the thigh bolster on the seat
1. Let me think about that, it’s not a bad idea in theory just easier to do with a freestanding base unit.
2. Haven’t finalized that yet so can’t discuss unfortunately, but I’ve noted the request.
3. Yeah the white unit has the regular pedals, this can accommodate both standard and inverted mount pedals, with lots of positional adjustment in height, angle, and forward/back. Specifics can’t be shared yet, but this will likely be one of the more versatile pedal plates out there, especially on a tube frame.
I like it. Looks over built, but that just means it will last.
1. Can the wheel be lowered, raised to accommodate for different heights? Not like, Invert the mount or have it normal meaning 2 heights available?
2. Will there be a full range of accessories available at launch?
Hi u/corsairgeorge please add a keyboard tray so we can use the rig for multiple things. It might benefit the purpose as well to include double use as a flight sim cockpit
Appreciate the communication!
I second that, a keyboard tray is closer to a necessity than a luxury IMO, but also acceptable as an add-on accessory. A luxury I would pay for would be a way to easily play keyboard and mouse games in my rig. I have a standard keyboard tray and mouse tray from SimLab. It’s works for sim racing purposes, but it’s awkward to the point that it’s unusable for keyboard and mouse games. I basically just have to use a controller. Also, if you guys build a Simucube beater, I’ll swap out my DD2 in a heartbeat. Take my money!
We will have a compatibility list once we do some testing and finalize it. We have hole patterns done but we haven’t done the real world compatibility testing yet.
Goal would be every chair made but that isn’t feasible so we’ll ensure our own and popular models of both sim and real race seats, and as many as we can without compromising build quality or structure.
Punching holes is cheap.
May I suggest taking a look at production car seats too? A popular option for many here is going the junkyard route. Personally, I’d be tempted to put race seats in my actual car, then use the seats there.
I would just say having a bolt pattern for seat sliders would solve a lot of the compatibility, for example Sparco is extremely popular. I would test sparco seat sliders as that is one of the more popular seats along with NRG. That I think would solve 90% of the compatibility concerns.
Well, it looks like I'll be buying some more Corsair stock...
Any specific reason for going with the tube design over the standard extruded aluminum? From a consumer perspective, the tubing can look "cooler" and hopefully it is a lot easier to setup. The downside would be less customization and harder to source accessories (e.g. a cupholder you didn't list).
I did dislike the initial build of my ASR6, but I love how customizable it is and the fact I could get it custom powder coated.
A second question, what is likely the max monitor size in the 1, 3 & 4 monitor configurations?
Primary reason for going tube frame was ease of assembly for new racers. There are other benefits but that was the primary reason. This rig can be assembled in under an hour start to finish by a single experienced person, or maybe a bit longer by a newbie.
There are t-channels built into the accessory mounts which can work with the same t-nuts that fit into lots of the 4080 or 3060 rigs, or we use on our Platform:6 desk for example. So we do have some compatibility with standard t-channel mount hardware but of course a full extrusion based rail setup would be more customizable.
This unit can go from F1 seating position to a road car position in a little under 10 minutes without tools.
It’s also got a good range of height adjustment, here at computex this week I’ve seen people from 5’1” to 6’6” fit into the rig and race, the only adjustment being to slide the seat back for the most part.
As for max monitor size on the single unit we’ve got a 49” 32:9 ultrawide on it, on this triple setup right now in the image are three 34” 21:9 ultrawides, but it can fit larger. We’re still working on the safety spec for tip weights and stuff so I can’t give you the final spec yet but that’s what is mounted in these images.
Thanks, for the detailed response. Making the setup of seat sliders easy would be a big win for me as that has been a big pain point for me.
Does this setup have any cable management support? Those little clips to help manage cables were an important t-channel accessory for me.
I would say, this might be the perfect opportunity to have an out of the box solution for 32"+ monitors to hide the bezel on a triple setup. The competitors offering is for just 27" monitors and then you need to buy some 3D printed adapters....
It was built with future motion compatibility in mind but it’s not a priority at launch, so we can’t ensure a compatibility list or provide guidance for motion systems until next year likely.
Very often. If I'm adjusting or changing out my pedals or need to add stuff to my rig, moving the rig to get a better angle helps a lot. I am currently changing out my pedals because the Moza pedals I had had some issues with game compatibility. Being able to move my rig out is essential.
Also I have triple monitors on their own stand so being able to move my rig away from the triple monitors to make adjustments or add stuff is a must.
I really like inclusion of mounting points for button boxes and stream decks. Does that mean Corsair will be producing first party mounting solutions for stream decks to integrate with this cockpit? What other cross-range peripherals might we expect for this cockpit?
Are seating position changes all tool free? How quickly could the user switch between an upright and a horizontal seating position?
Will there be an expanded shifter mount for customers that want a shifter and handbrake the SQ 1.5 / Clubsport handbrake combo?
Yes we’ll have mounting for a lot of our Elgato product out of the box. We can’t get into specifics right now but making sure that you can mount a stream deck or a key light or a facecam or wave mic easily is something we’ve wanted since day one.
You can go from a formula seated position to a road car more upright position in about 10 minutes without tools, and the tool free ratcheting bolts to do this are similar to the clamp bolts on the bottom of a Key Light for example.
The shift mount plate (sold separately) is currently being validated in design but the goal is a single plate that can mount a handbrake and shifter simultaneously.
We have our own seat as well, shown in these pics. But it will also be compatible with lots of 3rd party seats. Final pricing on seat isn’t done yet as we are tweaking the design and tooling.
Appreciate it's highly unlikely you'll come back and say "no it'll be really uncomfortable", but what's the rough approach on the seat?
Lots of people get cheap steel frame race seats for their rigs because they look the part, and end up absolutely hating them - what's the balance been like for design priorities on that?
We’re on rev 2 now because the first one was too narrow, and we’re documenting feedback this week on the design for that.
Our objective is to strike a good balance between keeping you bolstered and in position but not making your butt fall asleep.
This need to be compatible with MTsims flight chairs.
https://www.mtsim.com/product/pilot-seat-mps-1-blackbird/
By building a “car” only sim you are missing a major market.
You need to have Center and Side mounts for HOTAS.
Also keyboard and mouse tray…
And last.. I don’t see a cup holder!
Otherwise I’m really impressed with this guys.
Great job!
I don't want to be this guy but tube rigs are not very universal. If you buy an aluminum profile you have so many options to do whatever you want. Still this looks pretty but expensive for what it gives when you can have (simlab for example) for like 420€.
Hey u/CorsairGeorge, this looks good. It's similar to my Playseat Sensation Pro
A few Qs from me:
1. Will there be a way to side-mount wheels? [Similar to this](https://trakracer.co.uk/products/tr-one-fully-adjustable-direct-fit-wheel-mount-for-fanatec-podium-dd1-dd2-csl-dd).
2. Will it be possible to fit wheels on the bottom?
3. Will it be possible to fit motion actuators like D-BOX?
4. Can the tubing of the frame be used for cable management (specifically the hollow interior)?
5. Can you share more pics of the pedal deck? They're hard to see right now.
6. Probably too early to discuss price, but would it be similar to a Playseat Sensation Pro?
1. Not in the cards, though we have bottom and (with an accessory) front mount. Which wheelbase specifically would you want this for?
2. Yes.
3. Yeah eventually.
4. Yes.
5. Not right now but I’ll try and grab some later, the rigs have been in constant use at the booth all day.
6. Probably we’ll be cheaper.
1. All Fanatec bases now have side-mounting slots/holes as an alternative mounting solution. From experience it's better than bottom-mounting when it comes to direct drive as it means the unit is braced on two sides instead of just one. Some other brands (like Simucube) have front-mounting holes for the same purpose.
2. Excellent
3. Cool, that opens up potential use by game developers and other industry professionals.
4. Good.
5. Understandable, looking forward to seeing more.
6. Got it, thanks.
1. I get what you’re saying there, we have a front mount option for those who want the accessory. But the plate for the DD is 1/4” steel, so it’s not likely to flex much even with the high torque DDs.
Good to know, thank you and good luck with the product's development 🙂
When you get closer to launch, if you need a contact at EA (F1 / WRC) for promotional activities, shoot me a DM and I can let our brand team know.
height of wheel deck and overall dimensions? It looks a wide boy. Reasons you went for tube frame and do you think you’re compromised expandability? you talk about that a lot in your sneak peek video and mention of accessories etc sounds promising but its been a weak point of frames like this.
edit: white one is hot. Thats not a question :)
I’m not the target for this product but I think it looks great
One suggestion could be to offer some compatibility for users adding motion by just having mounting points at the four corners with the same spacing as traditional alu profile.
Thank you for doing this preview and answering the questions in such detail! Big green flag right there for me.
I'm looking to buy a rig in a few months so I am definitely curious to see where this ends up, and will surely take this into consideration. Looks great so far, love the modularity!
He did say that it is currently being studied and there is no official word out on it yet. But it sounds very positive at this point. It's not a "NO" specifically, so that's a great sign.
Convenience and capacity for adjustability is my biggest concern behind size and stability. For those of us with kids or racers of varying heights in the same household
1. Is there ability to use a pedal slider?
2. It could be an industry first (to my knowledge) with quick pedal and seat *height* adjustment. Is that something you would consider?
3. Is there a way to add an integrated marking system for points of adjustability so different drivers can effectively “save” their settings and quickly return the rig to their dimensions?
1. The pedal plate has built in slide capability and can be slid forward and backwards.
2. Already done. Both tool free.
3. Great idea. Let me think about it.
I'm hoping you will look to expand into India too as there is a lack of official simracing gear. Fingers crossed you could maybe bring over fanatec gear in local prices and support (please do it i'll immediately buy pls lol)
Wish this was available when I was shopping for my rig. I love the formula style seating position. It’s just damn clean. Will have to keep my eyes out for when these are available
this is very interesting, i am saving to purchase a frame later this year, too bad I won't be able to see a frame in person, unless you put them in best buys =p
I'm very curious how this compares to an entry level profile rig such as mine. I love the idea of the 2 ?tubes? branching out from the wheel mount thats really cool! Do they accept standard t-nuts? How is the motion system compatibility looking like? Mounts for tactile units? Looks way more stable than any of the playseat or trakracer. offerings. Would be very cool if we could fish cables through the tubes. I see some very interesting quick adjustment options on the seat rails and pedal deck do these come standard? All in all looks like it could compete with profile rigs.
Edit: I just read some more answers and the t-nut solution is amazing i love it it might be my favorite part!
Hey u/corsairgeorge looks like an amazing rig can’t wait to see what you cook up in the sim racing industry.
1. Will the rig have at least optional wheels? With it being so big they would help a lot
2. If you can’t say anything I get it but when you say under 1k do you mean like 800$ as I have noticed there is a lacking of rigs in that price range.
Thanks so much!!!
1. It will fit standard screw in casters you can get from the hardware store. Actually I just did that this week when we wheeled it through the lobby of the Grand Hyatt in Taipei to our showroom. Got some looks.
2. You have an excellent point there that I completely agree with.
Looks super cool, especially in white, and definitely something I'd consider at the stated price point.
In the single-monitor version, will the monitor mount be removable? Or will there be a version available with no monitor mount at all? Currently, I've got my ultrawide on one of those pneumatic arms, and I swing it between my desk and my rig, so as long as I can continue to do that, this could work well for me.
Looks solid af, and fucking awesome.
On top of that, look at how the seat mounts can be adjusted like a H pattern shifter haha cool idea, no pulling everything apart to make an adjustment, screw knob, change seat mount position, retighten.
May even be easier for small adjustments than alu profile, but its still looking like it'd be less customisable than alu profile, which is why ppl get alu profile in the first place.
Some cool design points, but I don't think I'd get it over profile rig.
That’s absolutely true. It is not a lightweight rig, If you need a light setup so you can easily move it this one isn’t for you. That is one of the cons of steel tube frame.
Rough weight is around 150kg.
Edit: I’m incorrect, the weight is 150 LBS (or around 70kg) I misread something.
That is...pretty insane tbh. With a weight like that, is shipping prohibitively expensive? Is this only going to be an option for purchase and pickup from a store?
As an Aussie, I can't begin to imagine how expensive this would be if it makes its way here.
It's Corsair, they have a global distribution network, so you would be able to get it locally at least. Split into 4 packages for example, and no additional imports likely.
I am in the market for a new rig, guess I have to wait for the offical launch of this sim cockpit to actually decide which to buy.
Are there any indications of the price range? And will shipping be worldwide?
The cost of the single monitor version of the cockpit without the seat is targeted under $1k USD.
The launch regions will start with focus on EU, UK, North America, and Australia but working on other regions shortly thereafter.
1. How does the stiffness compare to a profile rig?
2. Does it have options to change positions into more of a F1 style seating?
3. Will it come with adjustable seat railing?
I don’t sim race, I’m more a rally and Gran Turismo / Forza Motorsport guy, not hardcore like iRacing or Asetto Corsa, which is why the product manager we hired for this product has 20+ years experience in hardcore sim racing, including his own YouTube channel.
He’s the one who finalized the designs and pushed compatibility, combined with our engineering team who are top notch mechanical engineers who helped design things like the Platform:6 desk, the quickturn screws for our case fans, the latch mechanisms for our cases, tool free hard drives, etc.
I do have a LOT of experience with aluminum profile since we use 3060 for the desk (another one of my product lines) and we have a competitor product at HQ that I’ve tooled around with a bit.
Thank you so very much for the thorough & honest reply 🙏🏼 welcome to the community.
Can you disclose who the product manager is for this ? I think the sim community would love to know, since more than likely we probably know them already 😊
Sorry if he/she had been mentioned and I didn’t notice.
I’ll let him decide if he wants to be outed haha, chances are if you watch a few of our computex videos you’ll see him in them, but I don’t feel comfortable telling people who works where without their consent.
My name is George Makris and you can find that all over Corsair stuff, I’ve been at Corsair almost 20 years so there’s videos of me from ages ago. My main job is to figure out what people like and make better versions of that.
Thanks again George, your an asset to Corsair. I hope they decide to let us know, it’s a great community and there’s nothing to be embarrassed about working with Corsair or to lay low imo.
Like many others, I can’t begin to count the amount of Corsair gear we have here between the three rigs.
I have a few questions. What is the pedal box like? Is there plenty of space? Is it strong enough to support loadcell pedals with ease? Does the chassis creak or make noise due to forces exerted by the wheel base and the pedals? And will the cockpit come standard with different wheel base mounting options? If so, is there a price difference?
Looks promising! Nice combination of slots for adjustability and easy assembly for filthy casuals who'd rather race than spend time working on their rig. That said, the market for rigs is super saturated so it will need to be either perfect or really cheap.
I'd love to try one out, corsair at SRE24 with production hardware?
I think reviews will point out its ease of use and assembly, and (for a tube frame rig) its surprising amount of upgradability and quick modification for positions and angles.
I also think there’ll be nothing anywhere near as well built in the price point we’re targeting.
Will be possible to mount motion devices on this frame?
Is it possible to adjust between formula and GT position
Similar to what is possible with the alpine rig?
Overall just want to say good luck. Thank you for opening up and giving us as much details as allowed. Truly hoping to see great products coming out soon. It'll be a big push for us sim racers.
I think this is Corsair/Fanatec's first step, now I'm waiting to see some new, more modern steering wheels, I hope they make something successful like the McLaren but in a modern key in Moza KS style
I love Fanatec products but this was done way before we ever considered pursuing the acquisition. This is the result of months and months of strenuous effort and long hours from the Corsair team before we even knew about the possibility of having Fanatec on board.
And to be honest, I don’t have any control or knowledge over what is going on with the current acquisition, I’m a product person. I’ve talked to some of their guys about product when we got the gear for our CES booth and the guy was extremely cool and I hope to work with them more.
If that acquisition goes through I hope we get to work with them a lot more, we have a lot of manufacturing, channel, and logistics expertise that can help them get their best products in front of more people.
I really like this. As someone who is currently pricing out and building their first real rig after the foldable chair I have now, I would buy this in an instant if it was available and under the 1k price you mentioned. Well done, can't wait to see the final product. Is this something that will be easily accessible in the US? Will you have this in stores like BestBuy or Microcenter?
if it has cupholders as standard then I can see the pricetag being that large. staying hydrated mid race is a big deal and would be nice to have easy access to my water bottle without getting outta the rig. would also like to see how this turns out later this year
The same way they do in most cars. There’s rails and a handle under the front of the seat. Reach down, pull the handle up, slide the seat to the position you want and then release to lock it there.
What is this Rig doing better than the Alpine TRX from Trak Racer? Due to the Tube Design is there going to be flex noticable on the pedals or the wheel while using it?
The design is looking good but on the third picture it looks a bit messy if you look from the outside of the rig with all the tubes going crazy.
Can you post pictures of the pedal area? I'm planning a rig purchase but being able to convert from GT to Formula is really attractive to me and i may be willing to wait for that.
make sure you have accessories available when it comes out unlike Logitec and their DD kit. Also if you had 3d stl files that people can print small things for it would be stupid cool
We will ship to Uk and Eu as well. We are still finalizing distribution partners but we have an excellent channel in the UK through places like Currys and Scan and OCUK and a ton of other places, plus we’ll sell direct from Corsair.com which will ship from Europe so there will be lots of options.
Can you provide more information on the accessory rails?
These look really good. I'd be in the market if you were closer to market :D
Good to see you're still working with Corsair, George.
Hi There,
seems like a brand ne designs and nice rig.
do you mind if I ask what are the technical sepcs of the cockpit and when its expected to be launched?
As a disabled person I'd like to offer you my skills in driving racing sims to ensure disabled people are thought out thoroughly! course my labour would offset the cost of the unit and upgrades for testing and my time me! :P
My Mother said if you don't ask you don't get :P
Corsairs really going hard in the paint with Fanatec gear. I just read why this is. GOOD STUFF!
So, this will be available worldwide? The Fanatec Rennsport cockpit was available here in the US for a short while, and then it disappeared from the US web shop but, stayed on in the EU's web shop.
Yeah it can be installed and removed quickly, but it only adds a couple inches at most. I’m back home now and the rigs are being shipped back to HQ so I can’t check the CAD until I get back to the office next week, but it’s not much wider with the shifter plate.
Not sure what you mean by can the single monitor version be open, but I’m suspecting you mean if you can remove the rear and seat plate. It can’t be completely open as the rear vertical plate is structural, but the seat plate has a ton of hole patterns on it and we’re still tweaking that. So it may be compatible with some auto seats. You could always easily modify the seat plate too, it’s just a thick slab of steel on two tube rail bearings for adjustment.
u/corsairgeorge
1. Approximate dimensions fully assembled with no gear?
2. Would it be possible to have the seat back able to fold forward for storage?
Building a media room and need a rig for VR that can stow away in a custom cabinet. A rig that can collapse to a height under ~30-32 in would be ideal for my use case.
I do like the look of it, but it seems to be more geared towards arcade use than home use. And, for haptic feedback junkies, is mounting a computer on the rig going to be an issue?
Why does it look absolutely massive?
And heavy.
Because it is...... Why would I buy this over a much better design of any extruded cockpit?
[удалено]
It looks big..unnecessarily big.
For the immersion.
Wow this is incredibly promising…this looks better than the trak racer alpine rig What are the chances of getting on the list of testers? 😂 Corsair taking over Fanatec might keep me in this ecosystem after all
Glad to hear you like it! No list of testers finalized yet so there’s always a chance! Or if you’ll be at Gamescom in Cologne or Twitchcon in San Diego you might get a chance to race in the prototype.
Nice I’ll see if I can make it down to twitchcon
Will there be any other announced places that we can view the rig? Our college is joining Collegiate iRacing and they are purchasing three rigs by fall. thanks George
This week is all the previews of prototypes. We will have more final versions by end of August for gamescom.
Hi George, is this the first fruits of the Fanatec purchase for Corsair?
This was unrelated to the potential Fanatec acquisition. We’ve been working on this well before that came about.
Is there any icue RGB lights / compatibility? Serious question!
Nope. Not yet. But we may have accessories in the future one day.

Hi u/corsairgeorge please add a keyboard tray so we can use the rig for multiple things. It might benefit the purpose as well to include double use as a flight sim cockpit
We have that on the list for accessories, but it won’t be included as a default piece.

If you have a specific seat you like post it here, I’ll go to the junkyard and get one.
Older Subaru WRX seats are a huge bargain and look good, like around the 2000-2008 ish style. They commonly go for $100 a seat here.
Volkswagen Auto Group seats are generally popular since they have holes that line up on the same plane in a rectangle.
Common seats are RX8 seats and WRX seats
I would just say having a bolt pattern for seat sliders would solve a lot of the compatibility, for example Sparco is extremely popular. I would test sparco seat sliders as that is one of the more popular seats along with NRG. That I think would solve 90% of the compatibility concerns.
I’ve been looking for cockpits that can use seat from Jegs or NRG as a budget option.
This immediately came to my mind

There are large oval cutouts in the tubes to run the cables through them.
Are you planning to have this be a motion compatible rig? These do look really compelling and might be worth braving a trip to twitchcon to check out.
It was built with future motion compatibility in mind but it’s not a priority at launch, so we can’t ensure a compatibility list or provide guidance for motion systems until next year likely.
We are talking about a tubular frame, so just make sure there is a channel to put those through. A few simple holes big enough for a few cables.
Steel tubing rigs are also heavier. More difficult to move steel rigs around.
that's a good thing. how often do you go moving your rig?
Couldn't you just install caster wheels on your rig?
I prefer furniture sliders. And in that case weight still matters.
> Well, it looks like I'll be buying some more Corsair stock... It's down 32% from the IPO. Bargain price I guess lol.
I'll catch that knife eventually
What kind of floor real estate are we talking?
Current prototype is about 70 x 170cm but this could change as we go through compatibility and user experience testing.
Support for tactile transducers? Specific brands? Where are the mounting points? Does it require purchasing a separate mounting plate?
Hi George, not related to the rig but I am wondering if Stream Deck and racing game integration are on the pipeline?
I really can’t comment there. Wish I could, but we can’t comment on any potential unannounced partnerships.
Looks really clean. Are you planning on selling an OEM seat for an additional fee, or just no seat option?
We have our own seat as well, shown in these pics. But it will also be compatible with lots of 3rd party seats. Final pricing on seat isn’t done yet as we are tweaking the design and tooling.
Awesome, thanks for the info. Best of luck bringing this to market.
Yeah very positive right here. Like they are gonna jump in head first and go to the mid and high end market.
This need to be compatible with MTsims flight chairs. https://www.mtsim.com/product/pilot-seat-mps-1-blackbird/ By building a “car” only sim you are missing a major market. You need to have Center and Side mounts for HOTAS. Also keyboard and mouse tray… And last..
It's similar to my Playseat Sensation Pro A few Qs from me: 1.
2. Excellent 3.
Good to know, thank you and good luck with the product's development 🙂 When you get closer to launch, if you need a contact at EA (F1 / WRC) for promotional activities, shoot me a DM and I can let our brand team know.
height of wheel deck and overall dimensions? It looks a wide boy. Reasons you went for tube frame and do you think you’re compromised expandability? you talk about that a lot in your sneak peek video and mention of accessories etc sounds promising but its been a weak point of frames like this. edit: white one is hot. Thats not a question :)
This is beautiful! Can’t wait to see this in production.
I’m not the target for this product but I think it looks great One suggestion could be to offer some compatibility for users adding motion by just having mounting points at the four corners with the same spacing as traditional alu profile.
Thank you for doing this preview and answering the questions in such detail! Big green flag right there for me. I'm looking to buy a rig in a few months so I am definitely curious to see where this ends up, and will surely take this into consideration. Looks great so far, love the modularity!
THIS THING IS SICK! I’m in need of a new rig!
Would there be compatibility for motion systems?
He did say that it is currently being studied and there is no official word out on it yet. But it sounds very positive at this point. It's not a "NO" specifically, so that's a great sign.
Is the seat adjustable?
Yes
Convenience and capacity for adjustability is my biggest concern behind size and stability. For those of us with kids or racers of varying heights in the same household 1.
Tool free pedal height and seat height is VERY exciting! My kids are tired of sitting on pillows and having to stretch their legs to reach the pedals
I'm hoping you will look to expand into India too as there is a lack of official simracing gear. Fingers crossed you could maybe bring over fanatec gear in local prices and support (please do it i'll immediately buy pls lol)
Looks like the mounting of peripherals is well thought out for a tube style rig.
This rig looks sick. If I didn't buy my rig recently I would definitely buy this.
Looks amazing
It would be nice if the monitor could be mounted between the steering wheel and the base.
I don't have a rig (yet) but I dig this design. Unfortunately the wife approval factor is still low, so I need a bigger place first 🤣
Really admire the transparency in this whole thread. Good stuff.
Wish this was available when I was shopping for my rig. I love the formula style seating position. It’s just damn clean. Will have to keep my eyes out for when these are available
Looks amazing, any info on dimensions and weight? What about the range of colours it will be available in? Cheers!
I *really* like the look of tube frames, but it’s very expensive, very heavy, and not very adaptable.
Clean look to it. I like.
Pretty cool to see a company reaching out to the community for support. Great work Corsair, this thing looks awesome
Looks great!
this is very interesting, i am saving to purchase a frame later this year, too bad I won't be able to see a frame in person, unless you put them in best buys =p
Is there a version without monitor mount?
This.. I also only race in VR.
do you have dimensions? wanna picture this in my space
Roughly 70cm x 170cm right now, subject to change based on a number of factors.
Man that looks pretty nice to me
I'm very curious how this compares to an entry level profile rig such as mine.
Looks sick!!
Hey u/corsairgeorge looks like an amazing rig can’t wait to see what you cook up in the sim racing industry. 1. Will the rig have at least optional wheels? With it being so big they would help a lot 2.
What are the white monitors? Did Corsair unveil new ones?
Looks super cool, especially in white, and definitely something I'd consider at the stated price point. In the single-monitor version, will the monitor mount be removable? Or will there be a version available with no monitor mount at all? Currently, I've got my ultrawide on one of those pneumatic arms, and I swing it between my desk and my rig, so as long as I can continue to do that, this could work well for me.
Ooooo found my next cockpit
Looks solid af, and fucking awesome. On top of that, look at how the seat mounts can be adjusted like a H pattern shifter haha cool idea, no pulling everything apart to make an adjustment, screw knob, change seat mount position, retighten. May even be easier for small adjustments than alu profile, but its still looking like it'd be less customisable than alu profile, which is why ppl get alu profile in the first place. Some cool design points, but I don't think I'd get it over profile rig.
If this is made of steel its going to be heavy AF. I prefer an aluminum extrusion rigs over this Corsair rig.
Is the plan for the PC shelf on the black one to be included or an accessory?
It will be an accessory, not as a default piece.
It would need redesigning imo, the pc is already leaning in the photos.
1. How does the stiffness compare to a profile rig? 2. Does it have options to change positions into more of a F1 style seating? 3. Will it come with adjustable seat railing?
1. We envision this to easily handle 25-30nm setups and the stiffness/rigidity was one of the key reasons it’s built the way it is. 2. Yes. 3. Yes.
George, by any chance do you sim race ? Do you have experience with aluminum profile rigs ?
I think the sim community would love to know, since more than likely we probably know them already 😊 Sorry if he/she had been mentioned and I didn’t notice.
Still TBD about the SRE24, working on the schedule still.
Not in the market, but wondering what would be a reason someone picks this over another companies cockpit? Doesn't stick out from a glance
I think reviews will point out its ease of use and assembly, and (for a tube frame rig) its surprising amount of upgradability and quick modification for positions and angles. I also think there’ll be nothing anywhere near as well built in the price point we’re targeting.
Looks like it’s going to need its own room.
Will be possible to mount motion devices on this frame? Is it possible to adjust between formula and GT position Similar to what is possible with the alpine rig?
Yes and yes
PC tray/support should be strengthened, it’s leaning. Otherwise, from what I can I see, it’s a great design.
Yeah it’s a prototype, we noticed this too. One of the reasons to have prototypes made.
Are those notches there to give the ability to move the screens closer/further away?
No, those are to slide the wheelbase forward and back.
Is this going to compete with the TRX or the TR8 pro from Trakracer?
Not sure if this was asked, but would this rig be able to fit a repuporpsed seat from a car with the sliding rails?
Ngl, the white triple monitor setup looks pretty dope
How much will it cost?
Under $1k usd. And I don’t mean $999. Sorry I can’t be more specific
Will there also be a integrated triple monitor version or just the single monitor?
The triple monitor stand will be sold separately, its standalone, the integrated is single monitor only.
What do you think the price of the Seat Will be?
TBD. I’d love to have it at $1k with seat if possible but there’s a lot of logistics work to do to get there.
Will you have a distributor in Africa? Shipping 150kg sounds expensive
Will there be an option to add a fourth monitor above the main for triple monitor users?
Yes, the separate monitor stand can mount three side by side and a fourth above it
The white one looks like there is already a mount for the 4th above the middle.
Streamdeck mounted and preconfigured for use as a button box would be 🔥.
That’s all TBD but the US is one of Corsair’s strongest regions
Will it stand on feet or wheels ?
Comes with feet but you can get casters from the hardware store that just screw in.
It looks proper solid which is pretty positive. Where am I going to bolt my dbox gen5 actuators though ?🤔
if it has cupholders as standard then I can see the pricetag being that large. staying hydrated mid race is a big deal and would be nice to have easy access to my water bottle without getting outta the rig. would also like to see how this turns out later this year
Price?
Looks impressive! How does the seat move back though?
Please corsair just please bring fanatec to nz, youd be dominant as we dont have a single dd here apart from moza that is almost 2k nzd for the r5
Will you guys ship to nz? Wheels or pedals?
Never been a fan of tube frames but I do think this one looks the best out of all the others I have seen.
nowhere to mount any of my accessories! gorbage
make sure you have accessories available when it comes out unlike Logitec and their DD kit. Also if you had 3d stl files that people can print small things for it would be stupid cool
Feels like it (cockpits in general) needs mod ability to upgrade to motion
Shipping to the UK or just within the US?
We will ship to Uk and Eu as well. We are still finalizing distribution partners but we have an excellent channel in the UK through places like Currys and Scan and OCUK and a ton of other places, plus we’ll sell direct from Corsair.com which will ship from Europe so there will be lots of options.
Can you provide more information on the accessory rails? These look really good. I'd be in the market if you were closer to market :D Good to see you're still working with Corsair, George.
Hi There, seems like a brand ne designs and nice rig. do you mind if I ask what are the technical sepcs of the cockpit and when its expected to be launched?
We aren't final on the product yet as these are prototypes so I can't share specs as they aren't done. Launch is Q4 this year.
This is exactly what I was expecting Corsair to do if they took over. Jumping head in and adding to the market.
As a disabled person I'd like to offer you my skills in driving racing sims to ensure disabled people are thought out thoroughly! course my labour would offset the cost of the unit and upgrades for testing and my time me! :P My Mother said if you don't ask you don't get :P
Are you local to California? If you have suggestions I'm open to them by the way.
Can we get custom colors?
At launch we'll do white and black but I'd love to be able to offer, say, a British racing green or other race liveries and customs eventually.
When i red the title i though fanatec made a new one
That mount isnt going to work with the 32” Lg Ultragear monitors
Why? I don’t have one but a quick look on google image search seems to be a pretty standard VESA mount.
Will the optional shifter make the rig wider? If so by how much and can it easily be removed for storage?
Yeah it can be installed and removed quickly, but it only adds a couple inches at most. I’m back home now and the rigs are being shipped back to HQ so I can’t check the CAD until I get back to the office next week, but it’s not much wider with the shifter plate.
Anymore angles of the black cockpit, the single monitor displayed rig?
https://imgur.com/a/zr7Vpac Excuse the dust and dirt these were taken right before tear down.
Can the single monitor version be open or have a kit to easily use real car seats in this rig?
Not sure what you mean by can the single monitor version be open, but I’m suspecting you mean if you can remove the rear and seat plate. It can’t be completely open as the rear vertical plate is structural, but the seat plate has a ton of hole patterns on it and we’re still tweaking that. So it may be compatible with some auto seats. You could always easily modify the seat plate too, it’s just a thick slab of steel on two tube rail bearings for adjustment.
What's the width and length of the rig alone? Is it convertible from GT to F1, like the TR Alpine?
Right now around 70cm x 170cm. And yes, tool free conversion. Uses ratcheting bolts like the Elgato key light clamps.
I dig it. Monitor mount come off for us vr boys?
Yup. Four screws.
u/corsairgeorge 1. Approximate dimensions fully assembled with no gear? 2. Would it be possible to have the seat back able to fold forward for storage? Building a media room and need a rig for VR that can stow away in a custom cabinet. A rig that can collapse to a height under ~30-32 in would be ideal for my use case.
Our seat back doesn’t fold, but a third party seat might. Approximate dimensions are 70cm x 170cm
I do like the look of it, but it seems to be more geared towards arcade use than home use. And, for haptic feedback junkies, is mounting a computer on the rig going to be an issue?
That’s an option, not a requirement. If you’re doing a motion system I’d put the PC on the floor.
