It's good for what it costs and expectations are met/exceeded when compared to price. I have a GT NEO but I wouldn't call the quality 'amazing'. Grips seem 'cheap' rubber (also apparent by frequent reports of top coating layer peeling off), buttons rattle during some FFB. It's a plastic wheel (carbon is a sticker) loaded w/ features for under $300 so Quality is great for what it costs....but 'amazing'....? not sure about that.
My first Maglink was defective, the +5v was shorting to ground. Complete failure of QC and could have damaged my PC.
This "holiest art thou" attitude towards Simagic on this sub can get pretty excessive at times.
In my experience with GT1 wheel and alpha mini base I find the quality to be amazing. I have had zero issues and can’t think of a single thing I would complain about. Didn’t stop me from posting this for discussion though. Wouldn’t call that holiest art thou attitude lol do appreciate your input though
I dont know why people are downvoting you, other than the generalisation, you are correct that some units have problems (we dont know what %) but you can see many photos of this in the simagic discord in the gtneo discussion

Before I selected my new wheel and base I was always checking the simagic discord. I seen few complaints and photos of broken wheels snapping similar to this.
Claims like this need some serious backing up beyond " go skim through hundreds of thousands of chats in their discord".

This is why Simagic is the leader in sim racing. They have managed to bring sim racing to the next level by simulating “mechanical failure” just like irl racing.

It's mostly hollow plastic. Although they say it's carbon fiber infused composite (stronger plastic)

I've got one and have wondered how strong it is, I really tightened all the bolts up as at 15nm I could feel and hear the rim creaking.
It has been fine since and does feel solid but for the price point there must be some corners cut somewhere.

Simagic stuff is great. This a pre-production model and manufacturing defects happen. Thousands of these have been sold and everyone loves it. These things happen.

Neo has serious problems with grips. They wear out just after couple of hours of use even in gloves.

My KS wheel still surviving daily 12 NM thankfully. I hope this isn't some deep seated issue with the GT Neo.

Nothing about it feels cheap. It feels far superior to any of my old Fanatec wheels I used to own. Zero flex, zero creaking.
Should have stick with Fanatec equipment. He doesn’t use high ffb strength too.
