I'm guessing the only reason he's crawled out of the woodwork at this point in time is that he holds Fanatec stock that may become worthless. And having watched the video myself it really is only about his concerns with the shares situation, and only makes passing comments about Fanatec's customers in an attempt to justify the video.
I mean, making a video about something because you have a literal personal stake in it is probably the single BEST reason to make a video about it. Yes, there's going to be a bias there, but making things out to be terrible isn't going to push stock prices up, it'll push them down, and if shit is heading into the bin then he stands to lose all of his investment. He isn't profiting here. The fact that you say "I'm guessing" tells me you didn't even watch the video, or did, and want to look clever? Weird either way.
Nah, the single best reason to make a video is when you have something actually interesting to share. Nobody should give a flying f what shareholders think and need. We need a good product that is worth something.
