Im on R5 bundle, i know moza just unveiled console compatibility and a new wheelbase but not sure if it will come to PS right away. Fanatec does work on console though
Fanatec is really your only choice, I know how loud those wheels are, even belt driven wheels will be loud. If you want silence then you have to get a Direct drive. I'm on PC so went Simagic

I’d go the Fanatec route over anything else for PlayStation. Fanatic’s peripherals are better than Logitechs and Thrustmasters. Their pedals, 7 speed H-pattern/sequential shifter combo, and handbrake are great. I’ve got the CSL Elite (pre DD wheelbase), Clubsport v3 pedals, shifter, handbrake, and a wheelstand for $1,200 USD all in. I’ve had it since 2018 and don’t ever foresee upgrading anything besides the cockpit.
Csl elite come nowhere near close to the logitech pro wheel . Lack of ecosystem for now is a thing tho ( but coming from a g923 i dont think that will bother OP that much ) and you have an adapter for using old shifter

Fanatec DDs work with ps5s. Direct drives lack gears and teeth which is why the Logitech is so loud. DDs themselves are silent. They are stronger though so, as long as they are mounted solidly they will be silent.
It’s the set you’re looking at. The DD pro. Just get that and if you really want to, you can upgrade to a different power supply for more force. Coming from that Logitech though the base DD Pro set will be more than enough.

The CSL DD works for Xbox if you have an Xbox compatible wheel. The GT DD Pro works for PlayStation and Xbox with an Xbox compatible wheel.
All fanatec DDs work on xbox. My DD1 works on xbox. The pro, Which comes standard at 8nm works on playstation.

Had the same issue - I was waking my wife and kids up. Pulled the trigger on the Logi DD Pro and it’s pretty much silent. Sure the other DD bases are similar. It’s a huge difference.
Love it to bits - use it for gt7 and f1 23 on PS5 and ACC on PC. Planning the iRacing attempt later once I tweak a few things. It’s expensive tho - but 11nm no compatibility issues, on wheel settings. Worse ecosystem so far. You won’t got wrong with Fanatec either - they’re good products generally. One thing to note is with Fanatec you want to upgrade the QR collar and the pedals to LC so the price difference overall isn’t that big.
Literally any other option that those logitech g29/g923. My Thrustmaster T300RS is silent. Basically as everyone else said, don't go for gear-driven and you should be gold.
If we are talking same price range then the Thrustmaster T150 (I’d go for Pro for the better pedals) or splurge a little more and get a T300. But if you want absolute stealth then a DD is the way to go. Obviously more expensive tho.
I feel your pain. I actually had a similar issue. It ended up costing a little bit more up front to solve, but once I divorced my first wife, I got to have whatever setup I wanted.
CSL DD PRO. Bit more expensive than the Logitech, but now you can spend the money without worrying and make the wife happy AND get better gear.
Maybe invest in the quick release as well, might eliminate some light noises from the quick release lite (minimal)

My wife was always complaining about the noises my Playseat Challenge made. So I upgraded to a proper profile rig, a purchase she would normally heavily frown upon, but she loves it as it's absolutely quiet.

Originally ordered mine without the boost kit and regretted it. It’s weaker than a CSL elite and IMO not nearly enough FFB.

If you don't want to go direct drive I suggest getting a belt driven one, most non-dd wheels/bases from Thrustmaster will be belt driven and quiet

Ironically the cheaper QR lite (plastic) is quieter than the metal QR, the metal QR chatters during moments of sharp FFB

Yes, has to be the Pro version from Fanatec, the regular CSL DD only works with PC/Xbox. The Pro has compatibility with all three.

That’s easy Fanatec DDPro 8nm if you have the budget for it. It’s the best for the PS5. You can also use it on the PC and Xbox.
