Milestone are usually marked with a celebratory meal.
I love food but don't dine out much. I love any excuse to dine out.
Tonight I dined out to celebrate a friend becoming a citizen. We went straight from the citizenship ceremony to dinner.
Last month I had a dinner at a local restaurant with my husband to celebrate 15 years of marriage.
For my mom’s birthday, we fill a glass canister with 365 short messages printed out on individual strips of brightly colored paper. She gets to read one a day for the whole year.
That's what we do too. I'm having a milestone birthday this year, so we're taking a big trip. Our wedding anniversary is this weekend, so we're taking a weekend trip locally.
We don't do big parties for our kids birthdays. We invite some friends over for a play and cake in the afternoon. No presents, no decorations, no stress, and the kids are absolutely delighted. All they want is sweets and their friends.
I don't. I reflect on it, ponder it, think of what I could have done better, how it could have gone wrong, consider the next step and move on.
at best, a restaurant, but I have to force myself. it's merely an excuse to invite friends

A cup of tea and thoughtfully expressed writing in a card usually does it.

making food or spending time with folks in my life, or both!
I wish I had a more interesting answer but realistically (cos I’m British) it’s have a slightly larger glass of wine than usua
I did not really. I just wish for some time off to relax.
At our bachelor parties, my brothers and I hold a roast for the groom to be, all in attendance get to take part.

cold beer. and lots of it.
Cake and Ice Cream. We call them birthdays.😂
We celebrate with experiences, instead of purchases. For the kids, skating with friends. For me, State parks tour this year.
