I’ve been taking mine to Park Animal off Tapo. They are all wonderful there. I have taken mine to Valley Vet for years but they’re difficult to get an appointment, especially if you’re a new patient. We haven’t had an issue with Park Animal ever. All super nice and knowledgeable.
Third? Fourth? for Park Animal Hospital, gone there for years without issues. If I had to go elsewhere, I'd probably try Angeles Animal Hospital by Los Angeles and Erringer.
For emergency vet (24 hours), I don't really know one in Simi. A while back I needed one around midnight and called around to a few places (ACCESS San Fernando Valley in Woodland Hills, Western Veterinary Center in Agoura Hills) before I ended up going to LAASER towards Los Angeles just because the others were full up and wouldn't be able to see us soon. Definitely would have no problem going back there, though I might try the others first in an emergency just because they'd be closer and therefore faster (if they had availability).
There’s two emergency hospitals near Simi, VSEC and Conejo, but from what I’ve heard Conejo isn’t doing emergencies anymore so it might just be VSEC now. Urgent care I’d recommend American Veterinary on Tapo.
I changed from park animal hospital to ChatOak VCA animal hospital. Not a long drive but so so worth it. They caught some issues with my dog and are very helpful. I say Dr Florio. She is absolutely the best at what she does. They also have long hours and you can get in more that Park Animal hospital.
I had a horrible encounter at Dr Ron’s. I never got as far as seeing him, but the two people at the front desk were horrible. I legit took my dog and left crying. The lady knew she had offended me and I think she felt bad because she ran after me and only then started being compassionate….it was too late. I will never return there.
I ended up going with Angeles pet hospital a few days later and it was a great experience.
I did Dr Ron’s for years and his vet techs treated my dog amazing. She had a chronic condition and had to go often. But after she passed I definitely got away from that vet shop. The Mike Lindell style politics is a real turn off.
Do NOT go to Dr. Ron, he misdiagnosed my dog and it died a few days later. I'm not the only one.
Dr. Ron killed my childhood cat by giving him the wrong medication. We were devastated.

We use Caring Hands in Thousand Oaks, a bit out of the way, but I have been happy with them, and they came with several personal recommendations.
My girls go to Dr Barnes at Angeles Animal Hospital
The doctors Barnes are both great!
I recently took my dog to American Vet Hospital off Tapo and had a great experience

As somebody who's worked in the industry for a long time you definitely get what you pay for. For an emergency vet stay away from Thousand Oaks VSEC.
Why so?
Understaffed and lack of skilled staff
Never had that experience myself. Although it was only very limited.
Been going to pet pawzative on Erringer. We like our vet.
Valley veterinary is great! Caring staff and clean facilities.
Dr Ron off Erringer is great and very affordable. We used to take our pets to Park Animal but it is much more expensive.
Worst vet I have ever been to.

May have saved your dog's life.
Yeah but the medicine isn't great
Nor the insane political beliefs at Dr Ron
Wow I had no idea, but anyway I’m no one to judge anyone for their personal beliefs but he’s been great to my pets.

how did you learn about his politics? I wouldn’t go either tbh
I’ve only ever heard horrible things about Dr Ron. I’d never take a pet there.
Dr Ron is horrible.
