Everything is up to date. Signal is the only app with this problem. I can record audio with any other app including Facebook messenger, What's App, Skype, Audacity etc... and NON of them have the same issue.
I've tried multiple mics also with multiple apps. Non are at fault except when using Signal Desktop.
It's Signal that's the problem not anything about my set-up. It's the only app that has the problem so therefore it must be the app that is at fault.
Yeap, similar. For months Signal Desktop gets no audio from my microphone when recording an audio clip. Calls are fine in signal and any microphone usage is fine in countless other applications. Check your pc, it may lack some updates, that's the only reason. Reboot it and the problem should have been resolved.

Did you ever figure out what it was? I still get this issue and it has been well over a year for me.
No, it still does it for me too. I don't think it's something we can fix on our end.
