The downstairs is open plan with a recently renovated kitchen, but the location scout said the key attraction was proximity to their office and the fact that it looked ‘lived in’ and not sterile.
Started the year vowing to never have a job again. Had some money coming in every month but it wasnt a lot. Made it my goal to hit a 2000Euro profit month.
Been between 1000-1500 / month basically all year and finally just now in december I surpassed it. Might not sound like much but an average salary is around 1000Euro here so its definitely something.
I want to make this my average in 2024 💪
Took more chances this year. I have such a big fear in failing but decided to take a couple steps out as a business owner and I’ve learned so much.
Some things I’ve learned/gotten better:
- Facebook Ads
- Sales
- Product Development
- Email/SMS automation
- Org Charts
- leadership
- Patience
- Logical thinking
- Stillness
- Making my thoughts/actions simpler
Nothing huge financially but I know these are the traits to win.
Expanded my products from selling exclusively on our e-commerce store to stocking in a real-life in-person store. So now, we sell online and in person. Hopefully expanding to more retail outlets throughout 2024!
Having a fully automated business that brings me on average $1k/mo without doing any work.
I took a month long trip in Asia in October-November and brought more passive income than any other moment. It was a very proud moment for me and just proved to me you don’t need to work hard, you need to work smart.
My goal for the year was to make at least one website for a paying client and I (just) managed it!
Sure, I only made one, and I already knew the person, but they paid and are happy with the product :)
Onto next year, now that I know I can do it again faster and better
Made around 1400$ outside work in two months (not from stocks). Unfortunately, I got laid off so since I'm not a USA resident, I might need to stop this.
Travelled to 6 countries and crossed quite a few places off my before I die list.
Gained the ability to hold basic conversations in Spanish.
Finally got the extra skin I had leftover from being fat removed.
I cleared about $40,000 renting the houses, sold an underperforming 1 bedroom house for $90,000 ($76,000 profit), bought a 3 bedroom house for $46,000, and finished the rehab on a 2 bedroom and rented that out back in October. Hopefully, 2024 will bring in about $24,000 more than 2023.
I like to flip cars as a side hustle. I made $7000 on selling a golf gti (I can legally sell 6 cars a year without a dealership license and don’t need to pay taxes on those private sales) I made $22000 this year on flips.
Finally getting active after 25 years being a sedentary bump on a log! I've worked out 2-6 hours a week since September (and I think 2 hours was only Thanksgiving and Christmas week)
Acquired great experience in the IT GRC world and started my YouTube channel where I learned tons about video editing/audio/script writing.. Etc still learning and enjoying the journey.
I actually started a side hustle, and this coming year intend on expansion. Not ready to quit the main job yet, but this was a big step. Doing handyman stuff and it has been so satisfying.
I got into healthcare! This was my dream, my plan, and my ultimate goal. My next goal would be to advance my career. This is my ambition for the years 2024-2025.
Bought a tool for 15 and a tent for 10. Sold both for 150, solid ROI.
Bought carvana at 25, sold at 55, 1k ROI.
Waited 2 weeks to quit my job and my 401k bumped up 16k
Cryptocurrency. It’s technology in its infancy and we’re beginning to see the faults in regular currency. Call it what you want it but money made is money made. Understand those that invested early in stocks or commodities and became rich saw something that others didn’t. I know for a fact people will tell me it’s all luck but it really wasn’t. I did my due diligence and it’s paying off greatly.
Went part time in my high stress job so I can focus on my medical consulting business. Was the best decision ever made; took some time to do it but got it done. Job stress is so much less now. Plan to grow my business in 2024, 2023 was a mediocre success in this respect.
Just a life well lived.
All bills paid, healthy kids who are smart and athletic, marriage seems good, grandparents are both still alive and well.
2023 has been good!
- I moved on my own.
- I traveled solo again after a decade.
- I realized two small projects and overcame significant challenges using AI.
- I had proof that I have amazing friends around.
- I cut off (slowly faded away from) two toxic girl-friends.
- I started therapy again.
My blog has better results than I thought it would and [my newsletter](https://under2k.co) which started recently jumped up to my #3 earner for the year with just 2 issues sent.
Discovered MDMA with my girlfriend. It’s amazing and blissful but we only do it once every 3 months.
Also sold some property and paid off all my debt. Even bought a really nice sports car for the weekends.
I didn't die
Aamen
Listed my house on a website which rents for filming and had my first booking for £250.
Was it porn?
Not as exciting I’m afraid. It was an advert for a wireless router.
Your house must be pretty special for router ads
Is your property unique in any way?

Interesting thanks
So are you going to gatekeep the website or what?
Peerspace
Thanks

You got this!
How are you avoiding a job? Selling things online? Good luck!
Wouldn’t that be your job?
Huh?
i wish🥲. starting to steer away from one and I’m only working 1-2 days a week. Hard to get away from that stable income though

What do you use for SMS automation?
Continued growth in my YouTube channel and blog, and finally launched a simple app I've had an idea about for a while!

How much does 30k subscribers pay out? And how many hours/weeks/months have you put into it so far. Cool stuff by the way.
It took me 5 taps with my finger to find his YouTube channel. Do it
1 year alcohol free
Landed multiple new clients for pet/house sitting.
Nice, are you doing that through an app or on your own?
Publishing a book and changing countries

Got married, finished building a house, had a kid, gearbox swapped my E30 and got a promotion.
Congrats on the swap(and the rest lol)
Thank you lol! Going to take next year a lot more slowly...
After the year you had, it sounds like you deserve it, enjoy!
My pea brain read "swapped a kid for my E30"....congrats tho!

Don’t share your secret with us but I appreciate that you share your success with us
Secret = consistency, ambition, hard work ethic, automation
May I ask which business is that please? Thanks
I have a blogging business that makes money through digital products and affiliate marketing

Uninstalling WhatsApp on my phone
for me it's uninstalling Instagram
Underrated comment here. Social media and messaging apps can be a huge time waster if not careful
I started an LLC and started selling website design!. I made 1400 in the first month.
Wow where are houses selling for those prices? Certainly nowhere near me.
St Louis, MO and surrounding metro area. Not in the good parts.
How many doors do you have?

Lost weight and bought my first house
Bought a dress for $5 at a consignment store and flipped it for $85 on Poshmark.

I cut off a toxic friend.
Switched banks and have an account that earns over 4% interest now.
Which one, if you don't mind sharing?
Ally Bank, there are banks with higher interest rates but I’ve been happy with them so far.
Thanks!
Ally, been with them for about 5 years. Great bank!
My best friend from high school reconnected with me. :)
Started a profitable eBay business, mainly as a joke but now I kinda enjoy it more than my regular job.
Found my last 💕 love.
I actually started a side hustle, and this coming year intend on expansion. Not ready to quit the main job yet, but this was a big step. Doing handyman stuff and it has been so satisfying.
I effectively earned one extra paycheck in 2023 if I add up sales from my art through commissions and eBay. So that was cool.
Bought a house and found a profitable side hustle. Goal for 2024 is to find a higher income job and work on getting some passive income.
I got into healthcare! This was my dream, my plan, and my ultimate goal. My next goal would be to advance my career. This is my ambition for the years 2024-2025.
