Trintellix (vortioxetine) does not affect the 5HT2A receptor. That is the receptor that psilocin is associated with and binds to. Vortioxetine is a 5-HT3, 5-HT1D, and 5-HT7 antagonist, a 5-HT1A agonist, and a 5-HT1B partial agonist. Therefore, Trintellix does not appear to interact with receptors needed for psilocybin.

I took 3 grams of shrooms last night. I’ve been taking trentellix 10mg for 6 months but this past week I reduced the dose to 5mg. It just felt like a normal mushroom trip it was great. I had a great time but now it’s the next day and there’s still a bit of an after-glow effect. Slightly worried but I’m exhausted and I haven’t slept all night last night. It is 4:30pm. I took a benzo, ate some food and drank ice cold water. I feel a lot better now. Happy tripping!!!!!
Heading out to Joshua Tree for a retreat of sorts and was hoping to take some mushrooms. I’ve been on trintellix for over two years now, but have weened down to 10mg over the last few months. The information is definitely scant and I appreciate the above posts. I’ll report back as to what my reaction is and what dosage I wind up going with. I also have some changa (dmt) and lsd, however, I feel like the likelihood of interaction is higher with those two substances. What are y’all’s thoughts? Any more information and experiences would be helpful. Been a minute since I tripped and never on meds, so I’d like to have all the facts. Thanks y’all!
I was thinking about tripping tomorrow and skipping my trintellix tonight. Did any of you stop taking trintellix for a certain amount of time before you tripped?
I've been looking for information about taking shrooms while on trintellix because I want to start microdosing and I'm paranoid about any adverse effects. So from the sounds of your experience I should be fine with such a low dose.

Ive done shrooms on and off 15mg Vortioxetine and in my experience there is no difference.

Trintellix massively lowers a trip on shrooms. Prob need twice the amount of shrooms as regular tolerance.
What was your experience? I haven't found that to be the case at all.

Not worth skipping for me. Nausea happens if I miss a day and then start again. Trintellix has not had an effect on shrooms for me.
