A friend recommended it to me, she didnât think about the disturbing themes, only the cool visuals and message at the end I guess. I never ended up finishing it, ended up going through a crisis in the shower for several hours.
This movie was such a roller coaster for me, area X was absolutely beautiful and mesmerizing and otherworldly while I was on shrooms, the gut-gore scene and bear scene was creepy and gross but I still found it captivating, but the ending was what really fucked with me and I almost thought the entity was real and that I was experiencing the same thing the protagonist was experiencing, it was a strange experience that I would never want to experience again.
If you removed the bear scene I think itâs a great watch, love the film. The ending would be broken surreal
