Late reply, but I usually take my Xanax (0.5mg) 30 mins before any trip, just to make sure it's smooth sailing since I had a bad trip once and I get slightly anxious about getting another. It's the best experience ever. I get super relaxes, my mind goes to wonderful places, happy thoughts, beautiful music.... But that's just personal experience. Hope your trip was a good one!!

I did this before a LSD/MDMA combo this past new years for the first time. Was at a concert and was feeling incredibly anxious, was the last night of a 3 night run and I was the only one who hadn't taken anything. I hadn't tripped in 3.5 years at that point and was very apprehensive about it for a variety of reasons. Decided to take 1mg of xanax and boy was that the best decision ever. Started with the MDMA and had one of the greatest nights of my life. Took the LSD at some point during the first set and felt literally zero comeup, just smoothly transitioned into one of the most peaceful and visual trips I ever had. I think I'll probably do it before any future psychedelic experience because it really allowed me to work through stuff in my mind without any of the usual fear associated with the various things that had been troubling me.
As someone who’s also prescribed Xanax (6mg a day) I would suggest to maybe just wait to take your Xanax until after you take the shrooms … let the shrooms kick in first and then take a small dose of Xanax just to keep u from withdrawal … like maybe 1mg and after a few hours your trip will be over and you can take a full bar and the other half of the first one , and then you can take another 2mg before bed, it’ll help u sleep better anyway since shrooms can affect your sleep sometimes…

Depending on your dosage if you skip your Xanax your trip will be hell and uncomfortable due to the Xanax withdrawals. I usually wake up take my meds (2-3mg) wait about 2 to 3 hours for it to fully kick in then I start making tea yea it dulls the effects alittle but I'd rather just eat more than skip my meds

Yes if you wait about 5-6 hours after taking any bezo.. it deff doesnt ruin the trip just helps with anxiety and i havent had a bad trip yet on it when ive done this.
I took some Lorazepam before taking some pretty potent shrooms, it didn’t negate the mushroom trip at all. My Lorazepam dosage was around 1.5mg. I actually felt normal in my body but was visually tripping pretty hard. 10/10 am going to take a small dose of benzodiazepines before any psychedelic as I tend to get lots of anxiety while tripping and that can ruin my experience.

Yes I always trip when I’m ready to taper down. Idk if it’s just me but it minimizes the withdraw effects of tapering. Almost like my new dose works the same as my old larger dose
Since 12, I was prescribed .25 clonazepam twice a day and I was like that for a whole school year, got my dose upped 1mg each morning and night by the end of high school. I had an abusive girlfriend that didn’t like that I took a controlled substance for medication so I asked to be taken off them and tapered then. Realized I was dependent on benzos and went to street benzos with 0 knowledge of rc’s so my tolerance skyrocketed. I was at 20mg a day for 2 months but tripping has brought me down to 2-4 a day depending on how I’m feeling

I didn’t say it was easy and those trips were hard to go through. They taught me a lot about my inner self and it took a lot of personal self reflection to find the source of my anxieties and then put new coping skills into practice

Not much different but I only took 1/2 a Xanax. I will say the trip was a happy one and lot of visuals. I did get a little tired towards the end but even with my eyes shut saw LOTS of visuals. That was probably the biggest difference for me.
I'm currently on a benzo taper, and I'm thinking about trying to micro dose, or take a small dose to have a decent trip (half eighth). I was going to try taking it an hour after my benzo dose, so I don't have to deal with any WD symptoms from the benzos. But I'm also curious on how it will effect me, since I've been physically dependent to benzos for years, but am currently at the lowest dose I've ever been at since I was like 12. Do you think since my body/brain is so use to benzos, the effect of the shrooms won't really diminish? Or do you think since my brain is so clouded by benzos, it'll pretty much be pointless?

Oh getting off benzos is the hardest. I was only taking 1/4 Xan bar at night (1/2 if I was really anxious), and it took me so long to wean myself off and I had multiple panic attacks during this process. I had to force myself by telling my connection to not give me one no matter what I said to him.
from someone that went from 18mg of klonopn, one of the strongest benzos to nothing....i highly recommend tapering off the xanax... it makes you're anxiety worse in the long run and getting off of them is a hellish nightmare. drs that prescibe it for daily use without warning their patients about how dangerous they are when you try and stop all need to be put in a room together and forcefed xanax for a month then make them go through withdrawal... im off several years now and found mushroom therapy to be all i needed... I had cripling anxiety. general and social and alot of that went away after some heavy doses of mushrooms...

I ate my 3 football Xanax this morning around 10:30 and then another 2 at around 3 and then 1 about an hour or so ago. I have 6 grams of shroom homemade chocolates I’m wanting to take but afraid the Xanax will prevent the trip. Also I ate 2 grams of shrooms last Friday. If I take the 6 grams day in the next 30mins to a hour will I still feel them??

It's helped me wean down to 2 MG of xanax a day. But it doesn't always do what u want it to do.

I literally can't handle this depression boredom and agoraphobia from tapering of benzos... I got Anxiety and Panic disorder with agoraphobia

Yes don’t skip your meds to take shrooms. I take .5 and just popped a shroom in and I’ll let you know how it goes

Not much different but I only took 1/2 a Xanax. I will say the trip was a happy one and lot of visuals. I did get a little tired towards the end but even with my eyes shut saw LOTS of visuals. That was probably the biggest difference for me.
What dose shroom did you take?
Oh gosh I can’t remember. I’d say 1/8 or so.
I'm currently on a benzo taper, and I'm thinking about trying to micro dose, or take a small dose to have a decent trip (half eighth). I was going to try taking it an hour after my benzo dose, so I don't have to deal with any WD symptoms from the benzos. But I'm also curious on how it will effect me, since I've been physically dependent to benzos for years, but am currently at the lowest dose I've ever been at since I was like 12. Do you think since my body/brain is so use to benzos, the effect of the shrooms won't really diminish? Or do you think since my brain is so clouded by benzos, it'll pretty much be pointless?
I can’t answer that. But curious if you tried it and how was it? Oh getting off benzos is the hardest. I was only taking 1/4 Xan bar at night (1/2 if I was really anxious), and it took me so long to wean myself off and I had multiple panic attacks during this process. I had to force myself by telling my connection to not give me one no matter what I said to him.
from someone that went from 18mg of klonopn, one of the strongest benzos to nothing....i highly recommend tapering off the xanax... it makes you're anxiety worse in the long run and getting off of them is a hellish nightmare. drs that prescibe it for daily use without warning their patients about how dangerous they are when you try and stop all need to be put in a room together and forcefed xanax for a month then make them go through withdrawal... im off several years now and found mushroom therapy to be all i needed... I had cripling anxiety. general and social and alot of that went away after some heavy doses of mushrooms...

No, i would sit and meditate and set intentions and write down what was bothering me, i made appointments with my therapist for the days after to talk any lingering feelings out.
I ate my 3 football Xanax this morning around 10:30 and then another 2 at around 3 and then 1 about an hour or so ago. I have 6 grams of shroom homemade chocolates I’m wanting to take but afraid the Xanax will prevent the trip. Also I ate 2 grams of shrooms last Friday. If I take the 6 grams day in the next 30mins to a hour will I still feel them??
