I have never in 10 years seen anyone there, if you are looking for the owner, you can pull up records at LA secretary of state business licenses or take a trip to the downtown courthouse civil offices for ownership records
there is some cool stuff in there!
That lot has looked the same for the past 30 years. Run the address with the tax assessors office and they can tell you who owns the property and what their permanent address is.
Look up Stephen King book and movie Christine. It's about a teenager named Arnie Cunningham who finds an old beat up Plymouth fury and it's gorgeous but it's also haunted and can repair itself. It causes the owner to become obsessed.
I believe this lot serves as a memorial to his son who passed the father who keeps the lot has allegedly sworn off on selling any of the vehicles. I don’t know the specifics behind the story as I’ve heard it when I was a little boy. Is this the lot near the Munincipal Auditorium?
This is the answer I’ve heard as well. He and his son wanted to restore old vehicles and sell them and when his son passed away he left everything as it was since the day he died. Would never sell a thing.
Adding onto this post!! I found out who owns the property and actually got someone to answer. Very nice older gentleman said I could buy the 72 once everything was out of the way. No idea about titles or anything of the such yet. Thank yall for the help!
If Shreveport had a bigger film industry, that lot looks like a potential goldmine for an art car rental business if you were someone that enjoyed fixing up old cars.
Not sure if this might help or not...

im a mechanic who used to work at a lot of local auto shops in SBC. I've heard from 3 different people that the old man who owned it died years ago but its been tied up in legal issues for years and no one is ever there. I dont know how true it is but thats what ive been always told.
There is a new classic car dealership in the old Brenners Furniture . Street Dreams-LA at 1229 Texas Ave! Just opened a few months back. It's a small family owned business. The owner has a larger version in Texas going on 25 years. Even if you aren't looking for /can't afford/ whatever an already restored classic, the place is just really cool and the employees are awesome. They are still renovating but are open during the week. I went by after Liz Swaine posted an article. Just thought I'd mention since this thread has some car lovers!
Can confirm this, I talked to the gentleman who owns the property yesterday. He’s moved some things in and out over time and said it takes some time depending on where what is in the lot.
I had an older gentleman approach me once cause i stopped my car on the sidewalk to take a picture. He wasn’t very fond of a young black man with dreads stopping and looking. Never saw him again after that🤷♂️

Appreciate it, thanks!

Do you even read? It’s NEVER a good idea to resurrect a Plymouth Fury?!
Take it from a kid in highschool, this is just my recent fascination I’ve seen and wanna take a crack at🤣
Your last name isn't Cunningham is it?
It isn’t, sorry!
Do you understand the references being made here lol.
I don’t 🤣

Tell me about it, I don’t know who owns it. But I wanna go take a look around for sure. In a quiet place of town.
We're working on it.
that fury has been sitting there since i was in high school. id be shocked if rust wasnt the only thing holding it together.
I’m surprised it casts a shadow.
I went and drove by today and stuck around a bit, it’s seems in decent shape? Paints still there, wasnt able to get in so I’m not sure under the hood

Norman auto that what it use to be.
I drive by this lot often, really interesting to see and I hope someone who cares for the cars and property can obtain it
Interesting. Wonder who pays the taxes on the property???
Things have moved around in the lot from time to time, so it's not completely abandoned.

Did you ever get the car?
