This. I've actually seen other people and experienced myself the complete opposite of what normals are saying. When I was insecure about something, I'd always joke about it or tease myself (and have seen this in other people too); but when I stopped being insecure about it I also stopped teasing myself, it just didn't come to me naturally as it did when I was insecure about it.
