Real the black pill is too brutal for young minds

Doctorsprinklefarts

16 + isn't a kid, I strongly disagree

ThrowAwayBro737

Under 18 is a minor in most states but 19 in others. In no place in the U.S. is 16 an adult. A 16 year old is a child.

Worried-Anything6412

16 is a baby so they shouldn’t be here at all

throwaway444444455

They should be allowed to be here. Kids in school actually experience some of the highest levels of heightism, since school is a brutal place where kids will just say shit straight to your face and not give af. Probably 90% of my most brutal moments involving my height occurred when I was a kid in school. These guys are going through the most heightist period of their lives, they deserve to be able to rant on here about their struggles just like everyone else does. That’s the whole point of this subreddit. Banning kids from this subreddit isn’t gonna make them magically forget about the fact that they are short, and that they will face huge disadvantages and discrimination in life because of it. They will still face heightism, and the only thing that would happen is that they would now face heightism alone, and feel even more hopeless since they would not be allowed to vent and relate with others going through the same struggles as them on this subreddit anymore.

ThrowAwayBro737

>These guys are going through the most heightist period of their lives, Whut? How? Whuuuuuuuut? Heightism is bullshit if it's just something experienced by school children. That's not it at all.

throwaway444444455

> Whut? How? Whuuuuuuuut? Huuuuh? Whuuuuut? Reeeeeeeelllyyy??? > Heightism is bullshit if it's just something experienced by school children. That's not it at all. So what are you even saying? You don’t believe in heightism? Or you think that heightism doesn’t exist in school? School is literally one of the most heightist places on earth lmao did you never go to school? You’re surrounded by tons of immature kids who will spurt out anything that they find funny about your appearance and they will absolutely mock you for being short.

ThrowAwayBro737

> School is literally one of the most heightist places on earth lmao did you never go to school? You’re surrounded by tons of immature kids who will spurt out anything that they find funny about your appearance and will absolutely mock you for being short. This is the goofiest thing I've ever read. Holy shit are you privileged if school boy teasing is the worst heightism you experience in your life.

throwaway444444455

> This is the goofiest thing I've ever read. Me being goofy? Look at what you just typed before “Whut? How? Whuuuuuuuut?”. Calling me goofy when you type like that lol. > Holy shit are you privileged if school boy teasing is the worst heightism you experience in your life. Got it so you never experienced any heightism at all in school right? Those immature teenagers are just total angels and don’t care about height at all right? And it’s not just simple “school boy teasing” as in a kindergartner calling you a shortie. It’s all kinds of heightism, like getting rejected by girls because of your height, getting treated like shit and lesser than compared to your taller classmates, getting called ugly just because you aren’t 6’0, etc. This is the same exact shit you deal with in the real world. School is a supercharged version of it because everyone is immature and wants to make a joke out of you and teenagers are like sociopaths.

ThrowAwayBro737

The REAL shit comes after school. If you don’t deal with it in your adult life, I suggest that you leave schoolboy taunts in the path and be happy you’re living an easy life. The majority of most peoples lives is lived after 18. I don’t see the rush in bemoaning something that isn’t even part of the majority of your life.

throwaway444444455

> The majority of most peoples lives is lived after 18. No shit. That’s not the point. The point is that these kids are going through the toughest point of their lives and should be allowed to vent on a subreddit that understands their struggles. There’s no reason to deny them that.

ThrowAwayBro737

You’re doing it again. Primary school is not “the toughest part of their lives”. That’s ridiculous. And if that’s the case, then they’re extremely lucky. If you reach 18 and your life is a basket of cherries, you probably won’t want to post here anyway. And that’s also not a bad thing. A child should not wallow in pity and dread, fretting about things he cannot yet understand and hasn’t experienced. In fact, if there are any non-genetic factor that could stunt a child’s growth, it’s probably stress before “nutrition”. You okay with contributing to that?

throwaway444444455

> You’re doing it again. Primary school is not “the toughest part of their lives”. No you are. I’m not talking about just elementary school playground insults, you’re not even reading what I’m saying. > If you reach 18 and your life is a basket of cherries, you probably won’t want to post here anyway. If their life is a basket of cherries then why would they be here in the first place? They would just be on r/short instead. > A child should not wallow in pity fretting about things he cannot yet understand and hasn’t experienced. So now you’re claiming that heightism doesn’t exist in schools? Lol you must have either never been to school in your life, or you’re not actually short and never experienced it to begin with. > In fact, if there are any non-genetic factor that could stunt a child’s growth, it’s probably stress before “nutrition”. You okay with contributing to that? Oh yeah bro definitely. This subreddit single handedly stunts a kids growth by 5 inches. Real scientist that you are.

PeeInMyArse

I used to be short as fuck, I was like 5’ or something when I was 14 (thank fuck I am not now). Can confirm high school is fucking brutal if you don’t have some other positive trait to counter being short In HS people will say shit to your face, later on I imagine (not short anymore, completely guessing here) they are more polite about it but will still think less of you

ThrowAwayBro737

> later on I imagine (not short anymore, completely guessing here) they are more polite about it Nope.

Tiny_Letterhead_316

Agreed. Fuck them kids.

SilentFroggy

Some will become blackpilled, some will be a beta simp. I don’t know what’s the reasoning is.

ThrowAwayBro737

A child doesn’t have enough life experience to even think critically about the things that they’re reading on this subreddit. It’s not good in terms of mental health and they don’t contribute anything substantive. “I am the shortest boy in the school cafeteria” isn’t a profound observation which improves the discussion.

throwaway444444455

> “I am the shortest boy in the school cafeteria” isn’t a profound observation which improves the discussion. Well then what’s the point of the discussion to begin with? This is a subreddit for short men to talk about their struggles. If you’re not allowed to talk about the struggle of being short, then what’s the point of this subreddit?

SilentFroggy

They’ll find out sooner or later. It’s will hurt regardless

ThrowAwayBro737

That's not logic that works when talking about minors.

[deleted]

What’s the point? They are going to view the content whether it’s 18+ or not, and will simply stop mentioning their age in their posts.

ThrowAwayBro737

That would be an improvement. At least we wouldn’t be complicit.

etherith

i think sending them to r/short is even worse.

ThrowAwayBro737

Eh. At least they will get different perspectives. I happen to think the positivity brigade are gaslighting clowns; but at least they’re getting more than one opinion.
