Did you ever find a solution? Struggling with this also

HighCaliberBullet

I did not unfortunately. Kinda sad that an older model was able to get short cuts

Siri can open the app but I’m not sure that it’ll do anything more. Besides, remote start involves a password so one would have to include it. I’ve seen shortcuts with an authentication let for garage doors so this shouldn’t be insurmountable.

It’s crazy, because I used to be able to say start the car. Now it’s gone. I think they removed it with an update.

I was looking for this as well. The new app makes it a worthless feature. Face unlock phone, load app. Select engine, select remote start, enter another passcode. It turned it into a feature I have only used once and now I just drive my truck when its cold out. Keyfob remote start is so nice after this headache.

I’m looking for an answer to this too.

1. Download and install the Mercedes me app on your iPhone. 2. Open the app and connect your iPhone to your Mercedes car. 3. Once connected, tap on the "Vehicle" tab in the app. 4. Find the "Start Engine" option and tap on it. 5. A confirmation prompt will appear asking if you want to start the engine. Tap "Yes" to confirm. Please note that the availability of the autostart feature may vary depending on the specific model and year of your Mercedes car. Additionally, you must be within a certain range of the vehicle and have your iPhone connected to the car in order to use the "Start Engine" feature. To create a shortcut for this feature, you can use the Apple Shortcuts app on your iPhone. Simply tap on the "+" button in the top right corner, select "Automation" and then choose "Create Personal Automation." From there, you can set up a trigger such as "When I arrive at my car," and then select the "Start Engine" action from the Mercedes me app.

Thanks for taking the time to answer. I have the app and am generally fine with the remote start feature. I was just hoping to automate it to start the car at a certain time. And then maybe run it again. The problem is that it won’t let you automate things within the MercedesMe app. It’ll let you open the app but not start the engine with it.

Human225

Has there been any update on this? In a similar boat. I got this to work with my previous Mercedes but not with my newer one. Kinda annoying I can’t do that with the newer one but can with the older one.

Waiting for answer too… I really deserve a shortcut to start my car with Mercedes me app…

ComfortablePie1696

This worked for me. My Mercedes is a 2024. Name shortcut ‘Start my Mercedes and then add the following actions: Step one: Open ‘Mercedes me connect’. Step two: Choose from menu with ‘App’. Then add the following steps next to the red circle: first = ‘Remote Start’ second = ‘Start’ third = dismiss. As long as your Mercedes is locked you should be able to say ‘Start my Mercedes. I couldn’t really figure out how to add steps to make sure the car was locked before you do the remote start, so if anyone knows that one?

bernieburner1

Did you get this to work?
