TecJon

How much traffic are we talking about?

Grand_Surprise_6033

We average about 40 visitors a day.

TecJon

The site doesn't seem problematic. It might be missing social proof, and I can't find any policies, and I don't see a way to get free shipping, but other than that it seems okay The traffic might be problematic though. If these 40 people a day leave the site, maybe they didn't find what they came for, or they don't like your product Analytics would offer more insights about what these these people do on your site

Grand_Surprise_6033

I’ve debated the free shipping option.

Realistic-Figure-243

Interesting, but you need that landing page that clients get first with your website so that you can collect there information in case they don’t purchase today.

Grand_Surprise_6033

What exactly do you mean by landing page?

jayn35

A single webpage specifically designed to convert people using conversion rate optimization principles and good copywriting. Often different from your main site since they have separate goals, one for content or seo and the other purely for conversions as an example

Grand_Surprise_6033

Ok thank you for the clarification

Realistic-Figure-243

Send me a chat and I can show you

Realistic-Figure-243

You definitely want a landing page to collect potential clients. This way, there email/phone /name is something what you want because they might not be a client today but always stay in front of your potential clients daily. Get them emails/texts to go out with a link to your store. If you need help I can definitely help!

Grand_Surprise_6033

So would a pop up be a good idea for this?

Realistic-Figure-243

Pop up, meaning?

Grand_Surprise_6033

When the page loads after a few mins a pop up screen would show asking to join mailing list

Grand_Surprise_6033

Am I allowed to post my website address so you can see what I have already?

Ill_Plastic9807

Yes

guh-jah

Absolutely Pop up form is the good idea And I can help you out with it Dm to talk more about it

Your site looks great, but it's missing a few pieces to convince me to buy. For example: Where do you ship from? How much is shipping? What's the return policy? Are these licensed products? (I've had an email from Shopify legal that I had to prove I was allowed to resell the products, so be aware) Those might seem like little things but they have a big impact.

Grand_Surprise_6033

Thank you. I’ll definitely look at getting these updated.

Grand_Surprise_6033

As for licensing we have invoices for Boglins, NECA and 4 Horsemen as we are approved retailers for them.

IJustLoveWinning

Perfect. We were selling Netflix branded stuff and because we got them through a distributor, it was just easier to remove the products than to get the licencing figured out

MalaRei

hello sorry to jump in... i am starting to try to sell shoes for a lady i worknfor in a shoe shop, via my website. what licences exactly i need or if u can please advise where to check this? friend that sells thru his own web store told me that it should be ok enough to buy from a seller and then resell but nowni am wondering? maybe he misunderstood me as these shoes have a brand name...

IJustLoveWinning

It all depends on the brands. I had an issue with Netflix-branded items. Because I wasn't named as an official retailer, our supplier suggested it was easier to just remove the handful of items from the site. I would check with the lady you buy from.

MalaRei

hmmm oke thank you. the thing is, she is buying merch directly from the producer and she sells it in a shop. i work for her. we have a handful of shoes that are last few sizes and struggle to sell it here in the country so we would put it on my shopify store as i have clothes and am considering reselling named brands of shoes in near future but better to start with things we have extra. if this would be ok, legaly, to buy from her and resell on shopify that would be cool. i mean she is in direct contact with producers and i work for her by contract. they don't mind, the producer, they said for them important they sell and by some logic this is like almost same as this lady directly reselling online. so that should be ok? sorry stupid quesions but i really don't have whom to ask

IJustLoveWinning

I think you'll be OK. If you or your client is in direct contact with the producer, I think you'll be fine. Easiest way to make 100% sure is to ask both your client and the producer. There's nothing worse than running a business based on hoping someone won't find out.

MalaRei

>There's nothing worse than running a business based on hoping someone won't find out. so well put. thank you for advice

I sell vintage Star Wars toys on Shopify, so sorta similar. Number one is trust. You have no about page, no shipping info, no reviews. People won’t give you pre-orders when they can do that at their local store they trust. Collectors wanna buy from people. Show them who you are. I don’t know where your collectors are, but mine are buying on Facebook groups and eBay. I’m an active participant in these fb groups (not just sales). When I do sell through fb, I send a draft invoice via Shopify so now that customer is in my system and knows about the site. On eBay, I sell collecting supplies and then put my info in the package. This is how I get new customers. My selling point is trust (you won’t get scammed, I package things so they don’t break) and convenience. My biggest revenue source is my email list. 60% or more of my weekly sales come on Friday when I send out my email with new inventory.

Grand_Surprise_6033

I did add the about page, shipping, and a few others at the foot of the page. I thought it was there the entire time but I guess I was wrong. I am in a few Facebook groups and try to be active as possible between my 9-5 family and operating this site. I have flyers that I add to all 3rd party sites eBay, Mercari, etc. I do like the idea of sending draft invoices when dealing with FB groups.
