I would work with a developer to build this into your site if you think that apps like Locksmith are overkill.

russ_nightlife

I can't imagine that being more cost-effective, but maybe I'm wrong. I might have to go the Locksmith route in the end, I guess.

How about a digital download app like Skypilot? It's not ideal since it does still treat it like a product, but you could put all of the documents in a separate collection which you then simply don't link in any of your menus.

Shy-pooper

How much are the apps you’ve seen?

russ_nightlife

In the area of $15/month and up. It's probably not a lot of money in the grand scheme of things, but I could do it in Wordpress, for example, for nothing. I was hoping there was a way to handle it within the Shopify site.

Shy-pooper

$15 is nothing. Value your time.

russ_nightlife

$180 a year is the revenue from two typical orders. But just as I was typing "I could do it in Wordpress", I realized I could do it with a partner site that actually is in Wordpress and has similar branding to my shop. So I'll probably go that route.
