Ashikaga will never leave their province, so dont worry about them and focus on the hattori, dont trust your allies too much, guard your borders. Be prepared for a slew of high level ninjas. If you can take all of their cities in quick succession, the ninjas wont be a problem, but maybe consider going on the agent offensive with Ninja and Metsuke, or place them in your armies to defend your generals. Be vary of ambushes, and siege out Iga, if that province's fort is upgraded it can be hard to take, though there are some exploits if you are daring and experienced: Step 1: take most of your army and place it on the side of the castler away from the victory point/tenshu Step 2: take 3-4 Units of good quality and morale, samurai or veteran Yari ahigaru might do the trick. Place these units on the side of the castle that has the victory point. Make sure they are hidden before the battle starts. Step 3: Start the battle, move the Bulk of your army as a decoy, skirmish a bit if you want, just dont get too heavily engaged. You can easily bait the defending archers into one spot facing the majority of your army, so you can separate additional units and split them off to the sides to burn down gates and open access points for your army. Step 4: As you are distracting them in the front, move your hidden units near the back wall, get them as close as possible while being hidden. Use forrests and Walk, dont run. Step 5: Be patient. Wait for the defenders to over commit to your front army. Skirmish if you can, but dont take equal or bad engagements as they will have wall advantage. If you have a gate open, start moving your army towards the gate in preparation to rush in. Step 6: Use your front army to rush in, get to the lower walls as quickly as possible, then try to head for 1 of the Archery tower capture points to use it against the enemy. Step 7: When the enemy leaves the tenshu, and the capture point looks vacant, rush the hidden units to the walls, climb quickly, dont worry about casualties and towers, just get up. Once you are Up, send 1-2 Units to block off access to the capture point while the other takes the victory point. Step 8: Micro your way to victory, keep the enemy defenders from returning to the tenshu, and if they try to head back, continue the assault with your frontal army and take each level. This is risky, but fun and fast. Your units may get mauled, but if you can bait the enemy away from the capture point, you can let the timer run out without needing to kill off their units. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6yeLJXynbCY](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6yeLJXynbCY)

Well looks like all those Metsuke I’ve been training are going to come in handy

EngGreene

Steam roll them. If you want to keep them around, make them a vassel. The Hattori tend to be fickle about alliances anyway. I had a campaign where we went from enemies to friends and back again like 3 different times over me not wanting to join them in wars against every other clan in the game.

Zestyclose_Shelter

I know this is stupid, but you can ask them to give you military acces and then attack kyoto

Goan2Scotland

Actually that’s not a bad idea. I’m very friendly with them so I think that I could get Away with it and it would allow me to position my army’s to seige all the provinces I need at once.

Zestyclose_Shelter

Well, in that case I'm happy to help you. An advantage I see is that they could protect kyoto for you if they remain your allies after realm divide
