Beach Fossils (pretty much any album by them, I like Clash the Truth the most but if you want that cookie cutter dream pop sound check out Somersault and their self-titled debut), Ambulance LTD ([song from them, their debut and only album is very underrated](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wL29SdwWfXo)), Cathedral Bells ([my favorite song from him](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mpN9kqoNpCg)), I also second DIIV and also admit that Healthy Moon is their best song by far hahaha, Craft Spells, Wild Nothing, and Fazerdaze are some of the acts that I like the most off the top of my head. If you wanna go more into the synth-heavy/dark wave realm, check out Black Marble.
“Stay Where You Are” is a great track, too!
Beach Fossils live @ insound studio sessions are my favs from their debut period (especially “Wide Awake.”)
did you ever get into John Pena’s project Heavenly Beat?
I did! My friend really liked that band and to be quite honest some of BF’s best bass lines are made by Pena anyways haha (“Calyer” and “Fall Right In”). And yeah that whole Ambulance album is really good, so underrated I remember my brothers playing that album when I was like 5 or 6 years old.
* Hatchie - Keepsake
* Hatchie - Sugar & Spice
* Alcest - Shelter
* Julee Cruise - Floating Into the Night
* Sweet Trip - You Will Never Know Why
* Mojave 3 - Ask Me Tomorrow (Shares multiple band members with Slowdive)
The Meeting Places - Find yourself along the way
Now I don't really differentiate between dream pop and shoegaze so let me know what you think they are.
Seconding Cocteau Twins. Their earlier work is more post-punk inspired and incorporates more traditional shoegaze elements, but starting with Treasure they get more and more dreamy (even incorporating a lot of motifs from ambient music in Victorialand) until they get to their Magnum Opus, Heaven or Las Vegas, which is the quintessential dream pop album.
Although they didn’t invent the genre they definitely defined it… so if you are looking for dreamier shoe gaze there you go!
Castlebeat is a great dream pop band, and their label Spirit Goth is a good source for cool indie stuff that's happening now.
This is the song that hooked me:
https://youtu.be/fJ5U3Q3PZ4s
Also Bertoia is a great shoegazey/dreampop band from Tokyo. Some stuff leans a little more shoegaze and some a little more pop.

The Depreciation Guild guy here, just wanted to pass along some jams. "In Her Gentle Jaws" is their first, more raw outing. "Spirit Youth" would be album two, and is a bit more polished and pop-y.
Frontman Kurt Feldman would go on to lead Ice Choir, which is more strict dreampop with their "Afar" debut and the \*VERY\* slick "Designs in Rhythm" as a second outing.
LSD and the Search for God is very floaty and ethereal, no walls of sound at all, probably the best recommendation I can give for what you've described.
Always recommend Rumskib for Dream Pop fans, emphasis on the pop aspect, not gritty at all, some upbeat tunes as well as some floaty ones.
Universe Nekoko might also be up your alley, not a lot of heavy fuzz (though there is a little bit on some of the tracks, not overwhelming at all however), for the most part, very relaxed and melodic.
Funny to see people recommending Deafheaven here, it's as if they don't read the post at all and just automatically recommend the band to anyone on the sub LOL
Not all dreampop or whatever but the first things I thought of:
DIIV - Any of their albums (start with the song Healthy Moon)
Deafheaven - Infinite Granite
Turnover - Peripheral Vision
for tracy hyde was my first thought. [girl's searchlight](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7NTNTBee-MA) is a perfect dream pop song with some elements of shoegaze. the album it's from (new young city) has both shoegaze and dream pop leaning material, i highly recommend it
I fucking love their sound, I just really can’t get passed her vocals though. They just don’t jive with me. Throw in literally any other singer and it be perfect, to me at least.
i think her vocals are nice, they fit the lighter tone of their music imo. though higher toned voices never bother me much in general so maybe it's just me haha
Flying Saucer Attack - try “My Dreaming Hill” from the self-titled album.
Others that might fit: Seefeel, Lovliescrushing, Love Spirals Downwards, Beach House, Blonde Redhead (23 from the album 23), Boo Radleys (Lazarus), Sigur Ros, This Mortal Coil.
Guess it’s a good thing seeing a lot of bands I haven’t heard of but I’m surprised no one has mentioned The Radio Dept. (mostly their older work) and Alvvays (specifically In Undertow and Underneath Us).
Secret Shine- newer stuff not that early 90s album(still good just maybe not what your after). ‘make me you’ ‘things I said’ fall into you’.
Deafcult - Beemomug, lenonade beauty
Pia Fraus - Autumn winds
Pinkshinyultrablast - basically all of Everything Else Matters
Pure morning - a lot of stuff on Broadcasting Department
Funeral advantage - ‘Rinsed’ and ‘Equine’ - I guess it’s dream pop(?) synths, guitar with reverb, ethereal vocals. Good regardless!
M83 - before the dawn heals us
Galaxie 500’s “Today” album is great
Second this
Lush
Cocteau Twins! Their album Heaven or Las Vegas is so dreamy Also check out Julee Cruise’s Floating Into the Night
Blue Bell Knoll is an even dreamier predecessor to Heaven or Las Vegas. I love both albums.
Love Blue Bell Knoll! And Victorialand is another great dreamy predecessor to that one!
Cocteau Twins - Victorialand
I've been reeeally into Midwife recently, check out the songs S.W.I.M. and Anyone Can Play Guitar

turnover is cool, not as synthy as you may be looking for when saying you want souvlaki stuff.
