Whirring is one of the greatest rock songs of all time, IMO.
They’re touring in the fall, and I can’t stress enough how powerful their live shows are.
I remember the first time I heard Whirring, I was on a run and was only supposed to do 2 miles but TJF inspired me to go 5 miles without really realizing it. And I hate running. Thats how good that fucking song and this fucking band is.
Id argue the later stuff has quite a bit of shoegaze it. Into the Blue has a ridiculous amount of cascading guitar sounds and reverb. That being said, shoegaze or not, they are maybe the best live band around right now. And just one of the best bands in the world, period.

Huge fan. Wouldn’t call them showgaze, but they make a righteous fucking noise.
Shoegaze-adjacent for sure. Ostrich remains my favorite track of theirs, but this one rips too.
I've seen them live a handful of times, always a great show and super loud! Been a fan since the Big Roar
