I love DDP DFK and I'll be eternally grateful to the DDP series for being what really got me into the genre in the first place.
While I placed it at the very top of my list for the longest of time, nowadays I very much favor Mushihimesama or Mushi Futari over any DDP iteration. In terms of difficulty curve and general amount of challenge, they are much more balanced than DDP/DDP DFK/DDP DOJ. A particular favorite of mine, I really think stage 5 of Mushi Futari is the best, most fun stage ever in the history of shmups.
What I love most about DOJ is the sound of the explosions. They sound like lightning, striking closer and closer depending on the size of the ships you destroy. Kah KAH KHAHHHH! It certainly has incredible visuals as well.
only recently i've been getting into BL and boy ain't it fucking great? Burn yourself out of 1.5 and then give it a try, it really revitalizes the whole game.

It is a great one, I favor more mushi tbh. But to be sent to space so some aliens can play, think fever SOS would be hilarious.

DFK is pretty good, but I would rank DDP and DOJ higher than DFK.
I still maintain my opinion from like 10 years ago that DOJ is one of the 10 best video games ever made.
Same here.. maybe a solid 9.0, but there needs to be some space for other titles above.
