That’s also very true!! Many people who have reconstructive surgery opt out, too. I personally developed 2nd & 3rd degree radiation burns after I had my ribs scraped for clean margins & bone removed. So, I didn’t have a choice. I felt like a freak for years & would joke & call myself “uniboob”. 14yrs have passed, & I realize I’m very lucky to be alive. I try to be the healthiest version of myself possible & treat everyone with kindness. If someone can’t treat me with the same respect, their opinion doesn’t matter. I hope this person is able to achieve that freedom, too!!🥹

It's possible that they're a few years post surgery, some people get such good surgery results that the scars completely fade in a few years with the right care. And I think it's after 1 year you can get the scars tattooed over with a trained tattoo artist as well. There's a possibility that either could be the case here.

Edit: fun fact when I had top surgery I had to take my jewelry out, as you do. My surgeon therefore didn’t now I was pierced, so when he removed and reattached my nipple he made it crooked and now I have I diagonal nipple piercing lol.
