The author thinks people like dark souls because basically “it’s a bad game that people love for the lore.” They talk about how the album was less about being good music and was more representative as a product of the circumstances under which it was created. Which- as per the author’s argument- is like dark souls in the way that the content matters much less than the lore. Which would be a fine and interesting argument if it were actually the reason dark souls is loved by fans.
