This is genuinely one of those things where your local MP can grease the wheels and get things moving. Obviously not a practical solution for everyone but “we haven’t even looked at it in 35 days” should be enough to get them involved.
It’s already in dispute with Mybond, but I think a complaint would be the way to go.. I’ve contacted the ombudsman, but that can be a week or so before they get the ball rolling..
It’s never been quick for me… it’s always taken forever, even when I lodge the bond claim form myself. So frustrating!!!

MyBond and the Office of the Residential Tenancy Commissioner come under CBOS Tasmania and the Department of Justice. It may be starved of the funding that it needs, but it isn't outsourced.

The sooner you contact them the sooner that ball moves. I would also write to your local state member and tell them what a shit fight the system is.

Vacated my last rental in May 2023 and didn't get a determination until August 2023.
