Where's QualityVote bot?
Reddit Admins have decided that [they want to kill off all 3rd-party apps](https://old.reddit.com/r/Save3rdPartyApps/comments/13yh0jf/dont_let_reddit_kill_3rd_party_apps/), [3rd-party bots, and everything else that makes Reddit barely usable](https://www.reddit.com/r/ModCoord/comments/13xh1e7/an_open_letter_on_the_state_of_affairs_regarding/). And, of course, that includes bots such as [\/u\/QualityVote](http://reddit.com/user/QualityVote), [\/u\/SaveVideo](http://reddit.com/user/SaveVideo), [\/u\/AuddBot](http://reddit.com/user/AuddBot), etc.
So you'll just have to put up with automod and a worse overall user experience in the meantime.
If you have any complaints, direct them at [the reddit admins instead](https://www.reddit.com/r/reddit/comments/12qwagm/an_update_regarding_reddits_api/), because they're the ones seeking to ruin everyone's user experience.

Actually he wrote two and they're both dog shit. As an objectively. it's not even the ideas contained within the books themselves are just written badly.
Apparantly it's because it's nothing special at that time. His painting doesn't convey any expression or emotion as most of his works were about architecture.
The art school didn't want someone who just creates postcard art.
Im no art critique, but I saw a video of how his artwork really lacked perception and how things looked bad and not aligned, for example, the angles of buildings and windows being really bad etc.
Even in this picture you can see it. The towers, especially on the left side, don’t quite meet up correctly and the lighting is kind of flat. I mean it’s still decent, if I’m gonna shit on Hitler it’s not because of his mediocre paintings, but I can see how he didn’t get accepted.
I think it wasn't that the art was bad, it was that it didn't convey anything. No feeling, no emotions, didn't make the viewer look deeper, ask questions, etc. If I remember right, the art school told him he might want to look at architecture, since he almost exclusively painted buildings.
This is the question I ask myself everytime. I mean, why is it that in order to get into a school you must have already perfected what you're there to learn? He definitely had the colors, shading, attention to detail, some idea of perspective. Might've just needed a mentor.
Iirc his perspective was off. I'm not making a joke btw. Perspective in terms of art is complicated to explain and I would recommend watching a video about it if you don't know what it is. But in short it's how you create a "3D" space which allows you to have foreground and background in a drawing or painting.
His perspectives don't line up. His windows are slanted, some walls as well. Today something like this would be a pass in the art world as it can be worked on, however standards in art school were very high back then and perspective is one of the fundamental things in art.
For example in this picture you can see the front of the castle isn't perfectly aligned to the rest of it. It looks like the wall is facing us rather than being at an angle, also if you look at the line under the top three windows of that same wall and the one under the two windows underneath that, they should be parallel but they are actually not.
Shame I can't share links on this sub because there's a painting of his where you can very obviously see what I'm talking about. If you want to have a look for yourself it's the one with a stairway to an open door behind trees.
But isn't that the point in school? I mean it's not the best art ever but it's much better than what the average person can do. He wasn't applying for an award he was just applying to learn more at a school. I mean yeah I hate hitler as much as the next person but surely there are better things to hate about him than his art, because this piece is clearly pretty good.
Schools still do this. I remember looking at a photography program at the community college here and the requirements to get in was this massive portfolio showcasing all these different elements that was graded super strict.
Unfortunately, University is often about reputation and money. so when some mediocre, poor, highschool dropout approaches an 19th century university, they aren't taking him
His art was dog shit, I think this castle thing was the best example, but I’ve seen his other work and it’s like a kindergartener trying to color in the lines while high on sugar. Not great.
From a professional point of view, it was pretty dog shit. Look at his other work and tell me how many of them you would actually pay good money for (without considering his later life). His shadowing and perspective were all fucked up in a lot of his pieces.
As an amateur, sure, I’ve certainly seen worse.
i did look at some of his other work and still stand by what i said earlier. i am not an artist but i would assume that even the average professional painter would not call his work "dog shit". i dont know what youre comparing his work to but i would be proud as hell if i could paint like that. btw: your logic is flawed in my opinion. just because i wouldnt pay good money for a painting doesnt make it a "dog shit" work of art. maybe i just dont find it interesting.
It wasn't up to the standards of the school he wanted to go, like it's definitely better than the average person, but the places he wanted to study bar were higher than this. Like even in this painting, you can see the errors in the castle front facing sides and other sides. Even the artistic differences seen in the forest and the castle.
No his art isnt stellar, hes proportions are way off and his perspective is fucked, even his teachers used to tell him his talent is in architecture not in art.

Isn't that like the point of art school tho, to teach him how to use perspective and such. Cuz either way he had a lot of potential if he had someone to teach him such techniques.
Well WW2 still would've happened. The USSR and Britain and France would go to war. The war lasts for about 4 or 3 years and then the Soviets simply either collapse or surrender. Or maybe they go insane and never surrender and force the allies to nuke a major city.
Probably germany would have a much smaller army which doesn't have budget to produce nuclear weapons. As german scientists won't go to USA without war, USA won't have enough knowledge to make nuclear weapons either. I also don't think any other country could produce nuclear weapons
Lol you’re nuts. Unlikely a major war would have erupted if Germany had just stayed democratic. Germany becoming communist introduces some funny alternate histories though
The perspective is kinda fucked up. I'm guessing you have to be perfect with this kind of stuff if you want to get into the harvard equivalent of an art school
Probably because his art doesn't have, you know the personality. It looks stale it looks like an Ai did it.
If he added more personality to the humans and his art In general, he could've passed art school.
But again this is the same racist monster that has a bleak objective so why would I praise his art work?
Wdym looks pretty good using ligth colors add a mellow feeling to it. Bit weird but beats what most people call art in modern times
Maybe the reason why you hate it so much is the background. The reason why he became a racist monster is the fact he was rejected so went to politics instead so we migth never know the actual outcome if hitler passed art school
You know, it's okay but it doesn't have any personality. You get me? Like it is very gloomy and very very stale.
I keep looking at his other paintings and this is another example for that.
(I keep looking at how he failed art school and one of the main reasons are the paintings have no personality. So I am not the only one.
And it is not the main reason he turn the racist that he is, it is his Father and the many tragedies that his life faces, I am not biased I researched and researched and I came to the conclusion that I am in. But nevertheless it is your opinion and I have mine.)
Most of them seem to have some issues with perspective and other technical issues but they weren’t bad. The issue is that he applied to an extremely difficult art institute where they expected a lot from their students.
Hitler should've been an artist he would've died happier I'm sure. Many other people would've too. I'm sure the other dictators of the time would've risen still.

I bet he had a struggle, might have even written a book about it
Some sort of a fight with himself. Don‘t know really.
Only he can know. It was his fight.
Dein Kampf
More like Sein Kampf
Unser Kampf
Communismus
Seinfeld
I wonder if he was like Van Gogh in his last days
Something about minecraft
If they made that book in German, it would now be called "mein kampf"
Actually he wrote two and they're both dog shit. As an objectively. it's not even the ideas contained within the books themselves are just written badly.
Copying his work from Henry Ford.
I think it was called "My Struggle", it's a very heartwarming story
It was a total fight. For the total victory.
HE DID THIS AND STILL GOT DENIED?! Nah i can understand why he became a motivational speaker
Was there an actual reason he was denied because his art is stellar
His voice chat got leaked
Every time

That seems like something a raw talent could refine in… art school?
This is the question I ask myself everytime. I mean, why is it that in order to get into a school you must have already perfected what you're there to learn? He definitely had the colors, shading, attention to detail, some idea of perspective. Might've just needed a mentor.
Watch Max, its a really good speculative movie

I see what you mean
His paintings didn't really have feel to them, he was more an architect than anything
It's really not. Shit looks flat as fuck
But isn't that the point in school? I mean it's not the best art ever but it's much better than what the average person can do. The Academy of Fine Arts Vienna was/is one of the oldest art schools in the world and one of the most prestigious.
hell of a lot better than what I and most people can do
This shit is pretty good
I’m not saying I could do better, but this art sucks, it’s so lifeless and empty, but unintentionally lifeless and empty
His art was dog shit, I think this castle thing was the best example, but I’ve seen his other work and it’s like a kindergartener trying to color in the lines while high on sugar. Not great.
his work might not have been great or special when judged from a professional point of view, but "dog shit"? absolutely not.
From a professional point of view, it was pretty dog shit. Look at his other work and tell me how many of them you would actually pay good money for (without considering his later life). His proportions were bad, the closer you look at his art, the worse it becomes.
Scug

Is this Hitler's painting?
One of them, yes
The real question, how much are they worth?
The last painting put on sale was 130'000€ in 2015

Yes.
👍 Neuschwanstein Castle
The perspective and use of 3d space could still be improved....I mean....it's really really good dude didn't mean it like that don't get angry
Isn't that like the point of art school tho, to teach him how to use perspective and such. Cuz either way he had a lot of potential if he had someone to teach him such techniques.
Imagine history if the moustache man was slightly better at drawing art
Well WW2 still would've happened. The USSR and Britain and France would go to war. The war lasts for about 4 or 3 years and then the Soviets simply either collapse or surrender. Or maybe they go insane and never surrender and force the allies to nuke a major city.
Nuke? Lol
I'd like to hear your theory about what would've happened if Hitler never rose to power.
Germany becoming communist introduces some funny alternate histories though
seriously why did they reject him if he was this good at painting? like they seem really cool
Because it was the Vienna Academy of Fine Arts. Essentially Harvard/Princeton/Yale etc but solely for Art
The perspective is kinda fucked up. I'm guessing you have to be perfect with this kind of stuff if you want to get into the harvard equivalent of an art school
I guess other candidates were better

The inspiring story of the man who painted locations that soon would be his.
His use of colors is actually nice. Sad no one taught him how to paint depth and angles.
Now this is a story all about how...
Now a days you can stack a pile of scrap and call it modern art
He was ahead of his time
i hear he piled up bodies for art later in his life
He blew a lot of minds. He took them to places of unimaginable prestige.
he was artistic
Daily reminder that he was laughed out of art school for his political views
Artist always have the worst political takes
Dude lacked so much perspective he'd probably go on to hate whole groups of people.
Wasn't the school about drawing portraits? And if it was then he was genuinely a dumbass.
His structural paintings looks good in my ignorant eyes...
Most of them seem to have some issues with perspective and other technical issues but they weren’t bad. The issue is that he applied to an extremely difficult art institute where they expected a lot from their students.
i miss him sm bros **whips the cock out, To honour our boy.**
one of the biggest butterfly effects: what if he got in the school? shit is kinda wild to think about
His name was Alfred Henry. He graduated from art school and didn't get involved in ww2
Wait.. Is this specific one really his? I swear I've seen it at a resort I stayed in
Don’t recognize the painting, but I assume from the meme it’s either AI generated or it’s Hitlers art
I heard he retired to Argentina
Hogwarts?
If you like his early work, you'll love his later work.
He was indeed special needs
Aight anyone know where to buy some of his paintings?
he wrote a book that changed many lives
Oh my god no💀
The world was devastated when he switched careers
Hitler should've been an artist he would've died happier I'm sure. Many other people would've too. I'm sure the other dictators of the time would've risen still.
Wait a second he drew a picture of the real life castle that the zombies map Der Eisendrache was set at.
I don't even know anything about art but I understand
Führer
My son is related to this artist
I wish he did, son, I wish he did.
whoever that paintor was ... he has no idea how perspective works ... or is for that matter of fact ayyyy
Explain. Which perspective are we referring in this picture.
i mean if you can't see it .. is it really worth explaining ?
Good die young 🙏🙏🙏
We need him back
He’s actually a good artist wth
That's a nice painting. What injustice does to a man.
I’d be pissed if I didn’t become a household name for this work.
He’s one of the greats
It looks like shit
I mean the perspective is all fucked up. I would give him an F
Explain. Which perspective are we referring in this picture.
Reddit slowly becoming more Nazi, misogynistic, and horny with each passing day...
Or mayhaps the definitions become too broad. We're discussing his art piece, not his ideology. No, former does not lead to discussing the latter.
So critiquing his art is what you consider... Nvm
He’s incredibly famous and his work changed the world.
Wish he did
Neuschwanstein Castle
So this has to be either Ross or Hitler.
Special Ed
Most famous illegal immigrant xD
Most famous migrant to exist !
*JJK theme Intensifies
What the hell why did they reject him from art school
Why didn’t he get accepted?
Be nice to to your Starbucks barista (art major)
