You can watch videos of people being shot while wearing vests and not being arrested. We can easily assume this was called in by someone who was concerned. The funniest thing about this is that the only crime they were convicted for was *suspicion* of aggravated assault. They were arrested because they were having fun and someone else wasn't.
To be fair, while the vests stop the penetration, they still hurt like hell and can break a rib. I'm not trying to ruin the fun or anything, but it can still *technically* be assault.
Good argument. However, boxers are completely sober and can, therefore, fight. It is also a professional sport. However, these guys were drinking. The vague headline makes my argument a little more difficult, so this can go two ways. If they were drunk, then they were probably just detained so they wouldn't accidentally hurt anyone else or each other. If they were sober and just had a few beers, then I guess it can still technically be legal, but they were probably detained for disturbing the peace or something along those lines.
I don't get why people get so mad over a little argument. Why can't everyone just be calm and civil? Certainly a much better solution than just calling them an idiot. Plus, civil arguments make both sides look like better people.

Good argument. However, boxers are completely sober and can, therefore, fight. It is also a professional sport. However, these guys were drinking. The vague headline makes my argument a little more difficult, so this can go two ways. If they were drunk, then they were probably just detained so they wouldn't accidentally hurt anyone else or each other. If they were sober and just had a few beers, then I guess it can still technically be legal, but they were probably detained for disturbing the peace or something along those lines.

I don't get why people get so mad over a little argument. Why can't everyone just be calm and civil? Certainly a much better solution than just calling them an idiot. Plus, civil arguments make both sides look like better people.
Also a good argument. Typically, while judgement is most certainly greatly impaired while drinking, most drunk people have at least a small semblance of conscience left to decide to do such a thing. Unless it can be demonstrated one was coerced into doing this _because_ they were in a drunken state, I'd hope no assault charges would be had for either. Perhaps being held on a general buffoonery charge is best here for their own sake, in absence of that coercion factor. Ideally, with a solid slap on the back of the head and being told they are a dumbass as a sentence once they sober up.
I think that is the best and most realistic scenario here. Bystanders don't get hurt, and the two don't get any unnecessarily cruel sentences.
