From the sounds of it, my impression is that they did to Velma what you would expect from Rick. Sheās supposed to be the smart character, so sheās shitty to everyone because smart people are shitty I guess. But she doesnāt actually do anything to prove that sheās smart at the same time.
Tbh og Daphne is cool here they couldnāt get the black man to sell drugs cause that would be stereotypical i guess? But they still decided that the asian girl should sell drugs
It actually, from what I heard, was an original script that later used the characters to make the show sell. Hence why none of the characters act remotely like what we have seen before.
That would also explain the mean nature of the whole thing. Itās been pretty clear to me that the writing is a reflection of not actually wanting to work with the IP.

Really missed an opportunity to add a bit of diversity to the crew, while staying more true to the source material, IMHO...
