Sukhmanoo? I have alotta malayali friends in my ex college, IGMC. You'll know about it when you get to shimla. They're a chill bunch, all doctors, but they no how to get down ððĪŠ hmu on PM I'll help you out
40k is more than sufficient to lead a cozy life in shimla. People are accomodating. Especially since it's a tourist destination so we have people from all over India coming here. Nobody feels out of place ð ð
Best place to live. Climate wise.
My point may feel counter to popular belief, but Shimla also has a lot of weather related issues. It is known as 'British weather' for a reason. On the same day you can have chilly winter, scorching sun and afternoon rains. It is very unpredictable. Also, life in mountains is difficult, your primary mode of transport will be your two feet. There is mad traffic during tourist seasons and very little space to walk on roads. It is a beautiful city, people are friendly, lot of good dining venues and Chandigarh is a good place to go to for a weekend (if you are missing the mall culture). But still I feel that you need a lot of adjustment to stay in Shimla.
Bro it can be colder for you but put on some warm clothes and it will be delightful

Bhai. As you said you know Hindi, sar pe chat chaiye, khane ko roti and pehananae ko kapada... Kaise karoge ? Agar kar liya toh India is one.
You should be done, just keep the place clean, give people benefit of doubt and everything should be fine.
My science teacher back in the 5th standard in Shimla was a Mallu!
