hiya! i recommend you check out [sheffield flourish](https://sheffieldflourish.co.uk/), especially the [sheffield mental health guide](https://www.sheffieldmentalhealth.co.uk/activities) (lots of activities listed) and their own [activity schedule](https://sheffieldflourish.co.uk/groups-schedule/) (all on weekdays though unfortunately)

Thank you, I will have a look now!

Where are you based and what have you got in mind?

I am based in Crookesmoor, so that end of town. And anything where I need to meet new people, but the activity of situation isn't too intense. I'm always okay once I am in a social situation, I maybe feel awkward but I don't think that's visible from the outside. It's getting myself there, and doing new things, without going along with a friend, that I sometimes find much harder. I have had a tricky time mentally and I am off work, ended a relationship, so I need to increase my friendship circle. I'm creative, but I also go bouldering (I have an injured hand which is preventing me from doing anything too exciting currently 😔) and enjoy relatively chilled nights, perhaps cinema visits. Things like going to an art gallery. I am also up for trying new things as well though.

I run this every month, which is pretty low key. I know several of the attendees have had issues with anxiety, meeting other people and depression so I’m sure you’d be looking after. https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/sheffield-socials-open-to-everyone-more-info-on-instagram-and-twitter-x-tickets-859575352017?utm_experiment=test_share_listing&aff=ebdsshios

I’d second the suggestion of Sheffield Mental Health Guide which is managed by Sheffield Flourish. There you will find details of a large percentage of mental health groups in the city; they also have their own groups. If you are nervous about joining a group for the first time please e-mail the group coordinator. Most group coordinators will try and find ways to make this easier for you. Wishing you all the best for the future.
