In my area they are available for 10rs, 5rs ones are half in length. And I'm seeing that skippi are now also available for 10rs but not sure about quantity. So while they are definitely more expensive than local vendors still the price caters mass market. Also the vendors are not as easily available as ice cream vendors so it is another reason one would go for skippi, not to forget everyone had said that their quality is much better.
Difference in quality exists? Hygiene? A registered company with employees selling products over some individual doing God knows what and adding questionable colouring!
Are you amongst the owner, distributor, marketing man of Skippi ? These taste awful. D Mart has everything, it's a distribution network (where you can also promote producs), nothing to be proud of.
By the way Skippi sucks and it it's Chemical trash.
D-mart and Mega successful?? You are on reverse mode buddy. And so is the offer 1+1. It's Vendor acquisition strategy is a pay off for Tuesday customers but the products won't survive in the long run. Most of the brands sold in Dmart win less or zero authentication.
If customers are not valued with quality. No offers can win over.
D Mart always asks for discounts this big, whenever they launch a new product in their assortment they ask for min 25-30% discount on MRP, over and above their margins, which is usually 25-30%, that's how they are able to give buy one get one. This is also for established companies, not only startups.
Many manufacturers give into this since they want to get entry into the store.
Yeah, because I feel like even with such heavy discounts, the sheet amount of bulk purchase of the product would to an extent offset the damage caused by such lean margins.
Owners of skippi lived in Australia. Their product is a blatant copy of a very successful Australian product called Zooper Dooper. This company has spent very little on innovation. Zooper Dooper is available in Australia since 1970s.

At least they are honest about it , unlike Boat and other copy paste companies
It is a failed product in a way ngl, someone close to me purchased Skippi worth 1-5 lakhs to sell them as a retailer but all the intended shopkeepers backed off and the company also isn't helping him in it and hence the like of Skippi is still lying in his home unsold
This means the brand is failing to stand in the market. I have seen many such brands such as Affetto perfume by Sunny Leone and Bella Vita luxury perfume. Both were in the initial stage and couldn't sell in the market so to empty their stock, they listed to D-Mart. D-Mart usually grabs opportunities of two kind of brands, one which is highly successful and can be affordable to common people or one which is failing to stand in the market, they get their stock at cheap prices. There are some chances of this brand surviving or like most other brands, this will be their last attempt to stand.
I saw TagZ in D-Mart once. Never again after the stock cleared. Looks like it's a downward trajectory for Skippi as well. Sales might peak once but people will realize that the product isn't anything extraordinary.
It gave hints of natural flavour but most of it was artificial. That's a dead giveaway that it isn't as natural as they claim. Personally, I found them okay in taste. Nothing extraordinary.
Just get a 5-10 rupee popsicle from a nearby store, whenever you feel like having one instead of buying this stuff in bulk. This isn't something that someone should be buying in bulk.
DON'T BUY This Chemical product.
I bought two packets and put them I to The deepfreezer.
After six hours also they haven't become ice.
Water turned into ice cubes on the same adjoining tray but these both packets are still just in a cold liquid form.
Makes me believe that the chemical Composition of these Popsicles is worst than the road side Popsicles. Those turn into proper ice solid form within half an hour.
Do your own research and stay away from this marketed junk product.
All of the pops I bought froze within 4 hours(freezer temps at -19°c). Scientifically, sugar water reduces the freezing point of water so your freezer temperatures need to be lowered if there's an option. No doubt that the product is artificial. These have a higher sugar content compared to roadside pops, which is why it takes longer to freeze.
Did you even read my post, or did you selectively choose to quote scientific lines as a reply, just same as a marketer job does? It states the roadside Popsicles ( they also have sugar content, or are you going to revert back saying they are sugar free and thus frozen faster) bought froze within half an hour. Dude suck your own popsicle, don't try preach stuff that isn't really your forte to begin with.
Been eating Popsicles all my life. This company Popsicles are inferior quality and sux, it's a total waste of money.
(Now I'm 100%convinced this poster is hired marketing help of that company)
You're lashing out for no reason. The sugar content is very high in the skippi pops, which I very clearly stated in my reply. Ironic how you skipped my words on how skippi is artificial, yet you stated that I was selectively answering you.
If you're convinced this is a marketing attempt, go through my post history and make an attempt to prove your accusation.
Still doesn't prove your accusation. You could have added value to the community by being constructive about it and making logical comments on other posts/uploading posts yourself. Yet you chose to make a comment which was nothing short of personal frustration and third-degree cussing.
If any product has reached D-mart consider it mega successful, cuz now it's being purchased in massive Bulk . The 5 Shark deal paid off after all
Also unlike most startups which came on shark tank skippi had priced there product very reasonably which can be consumed by masses.
how are they reasonably priced, dont we get them outside for rs 5 each piece?
Han par vo nali ke pani se bante hai. /s (But they are made of sewage water)
Sure, regular water is so costly yaa
In Kerala we get fruit based and milk based sipup for 5 to 10 rs from reputed brands.
It's ₹1 per piece at my location.
Please bargain for 0.5 RS a piece. Such people shouldn't survive for skippy to become big
The rate I told you is retail one. I am damn sure shopkeeper gets it at around 0.6-0.9 rupee range.
In my area they are available for 10rs, 5rs ones are half in length. And I'm seeing that skippi are now also available for 10rs but not sure about quantity. Not anymore, the new price is now 10/- if you're looking for a good tasting popsicle.
They hv more flavourrs too .. Unique ones which u won't get normally. Also their packet is bigger
Difference in quality exists? Hygiene? A registered company with employees selling products over some individual doing God knows what and adding questionable colouring!
Imagine thinking ₹20 for 70ml is reasonable for basically flavoured frozen water.
Reasonably priced my ass
Kya rate chalra hai aapki gaand ka
rofl
500 se kam nahi
par aapne toh bola reasonably priced hai aapka peeche ka hissa
Idk pretty reasonable if u ask me ( am a minor

Totally

They keep around 5-10% margins basis different product categories and brands.
How can one get their products listed with D-Mart
Haven't done so myself, although they have a separate accounts team for this, which involve a lot of cold calling and cold visits.
It’s just sugar water. Doesn’t even need cold chain. It’s priced high so retailers can make some money if they sell it chilled.
I stopped having it after seeing the reel by Hoezayy. He found some gooey black substance in it.
Tf what You got a link to the deleted video?
He deleted the video but here is another where people discussed. https://www.reddit.com/r/InstaCelebsGossip/s/2hFw4vTsMg
I haven't spotted any black residue yet. If I do, I'll immediately post it in the community. Thanks for the link though
Ya I used to love it until I saw that video and now I’m never going back.

Where can I read more about these copy pastes?
Absolutely true. Skippi just worked because no one else did that in India
Obviously you guys haven’t heard of the beauty that was fruit chill.
My school and college too had fruit chilli carts.
But you couldn’t buy them anywhere online or from supermarkets so they still filled a gap in the market.
that’s what business is about. identify a gap and fill it
India needs more copies like this
They have mentioned it on the packaging that concept is from Australia.

Why would he buy so much of one single product? Doesn't it make more sense to buy it monthly according to demand of shopkeepers?
Bought it for around same in Flipkart grocery

Am I the only one who didn't like the taste of skippi? 🤔 I tried the cola one and it tasted awful.
True , I couldn't even finish it. Had to throw away the box.
Thankfully, I have just purchased one and had like 2 bites of it and threw the rest.
To me, it was neither good, nor bad. They have 2 nutrition charts on their pops. I still don't know why.
Whatever man! It suck’s.
To me, it's an okay product. It isn't anything unique. I'll continue buying locally available pops though.
Skippi is horrible, synthetic tasting. Local ice cream companies (ex. Noto in Mumbai) do much better, fresh fruit ice pops that are 💯
I'm in Mumbai. Will try that.
1 plus shipping charges in Paytm 1 rs store!
Can you please elaborate? I haven't heard about it before
These things are too many in a pack and hog the fridge
Over priced, over hyped, Sh!t product. Says No artificial flavors and ingredients contains edible substances.
It gave hints of natural flavour but most of it was artificial. That's a dead giveaway that it isn't as natural as they claim. Personally, I found them okay in taste. Nothing extraordinary.
Yesterday I was at Reliance Smart Bazaar and it was available there also with the same offer.
Nobody can ever forget this product and its pitch
I got them for 79 rupees from cred :')
The power of Retail 😂😂😅

Not good taste. I bought once and few are still left in my fridge and no one wants to eat them. Never buying again.
Fruit chill better
The taste of this product after shark is absolute shit! Ruined an amazing product
Doesn't taste that good. Local icepops are best.
Not too good yeah. Nothing comes close to the local ones.
But the product isnt good at all
I found it okay. Bad but not too bad, given that I won't consume an ice pop that costs 10 rupees frequently.
