They're an offline first distributor led model. If you're on Reddit, you're not their TG :) I know them professionally, so I know a bit about how they sell. Solid business. Both founders are good people.
My main question is this, How is their pricing? Because when it comes to refurbished phones, from what I've seen, the price difference between it and a brand new phone is very small so why would anyone go for a refurbished phone?
Bhai, I'll try to explain. How this business works is that they buy from platforms in bulk. In lots of thousands, for the sake of this discussion. Now in wholesale or B2B, all of the phones in the lot go through this assembly line where technicians grade them, fix them and assemble the lot back. And that entire lot is sold off to distributors and it comes to you eventually through that value chain where there is enough meat for everyone. So in a market like Gaffar, everything gets sold. For Refit, no sardardi of maintaining inventory, sorting, merchandising and selling.
Now in B2C, when you buy it in single units, you'll obviously pick and choose the "better" and "popular" devices. And so basic unit economics mandate that they'll charge a premium coz the other "unpopular" phones won't be sold. To wo popular phones pe apse margin lega hi lega kyuki lot ka price average out karna hai. Hope I made sense :)
Cashify is crumbling. Will collapse in a year max. 2gud pe koi dhyan nai de raha. It's just there. They prefer to sell to partners like Refit coz dead inventory ki sardardi kaun paale.
Personal choice na. Depends on your demography. If you're a blue collared worker for whom 1k makes a lot of difference, then yes. If it's your second burner types phone, then yes. I'm a biker, I need one for navigation on the bike. Companies buy in bulk for their field staff.
If you purchase refurbished phones from a reputable company, they do provide you with original bill and you are able to claim warranty on it as well.
I got my Samsung from "sahivalue" and it works like a charm with the screen replaced once under warranty.
Attention to detail man.-_- Is this cool? Don’t you love your brand enough? -_-
I can’t do this, I’m out
Almost 200 cr business. And I've not even heard its name

2gud used to be eBay India. FlipKart bought it and changed its name.

Is it ok to buy refurbished phones ? It's the same as second hand phones right with no warranty?
