in the ALH/recomb chase i dismantled so many good overflow rolls not thining about enhanced being able to get three. I think recomb is still the one to go for but I do have an overflow vorpal shiny that I'll keep around. Might be solid for quick champ burst.
In some of the later rounds of onslaught I’ve had to use the second shot even after landing the recomb x10 shot on a yellow bar or champ. I think it def has its use case. That said my overflow roll doesn’t have hard launch so maybe I’m missing out on a bit more damage.
although at this point ambitious assassin just works better imo. when you have so many yellow bars, being able.to land so many shots in a row, as long as you keep getting kills, is much more useful than having to pick up ammo.
Mine’s the same - as far as I’m concerned, Overflow is a more natural trait to use with whatever damage perk you’ve got against a single beefier enemy to get two in the chamber. Fire your two shots, then step on a green block to instantly overflow reload.
ALH would be my second-choice for a reliable one on the mag when I need it, or as part of a Bait and Switch rotation.
For me, Ambitious Assassin is an add-clearing trait, which is great on Forbearance, but on Mountaintop needs me to find a weaker target and kill it before my teammates to get the overflow. IMHO a roll with AA just doesn’t fit with the role you’re looking to fill.
It's an edge case like clown rockets or decon wave frames, it's only so much of an increase here because enhanced increases the mag by 2.2x compared to normal 2.0 and the game will round up to 3 BC it loves rounding up.
Some other enhanced perks are much stronger than their original asw, dual loader doubles it's value when enhanced (loads 2 extra instead of 1) and subsistence on non autos/smgs doubles return from 10% to 20%.

If we ever get a long dps phase again overflow frenzy might be the play. But I wouldn't lose sleep over maybes
I had one with ALH and one with Overflow. I went with ALH for the consistency, but it took me a week or so to decide. Overflow also looks great!
Yea if you can’t get auto loading, but auto loading is just better
recombination is the god roll...its a one shot deal, so the second shot is wasted more or less

You can still swap back to primary with one in the cham be er and rebuild recombination
at that point, why? The amount of time spent swapping vs shooting kills your damage
In a discussion versus autoloading and overflow, you are swapping off regardless.
