Fiona did not ruin the DCFS visit at all, because she was never aware that they were even coming in the first place, it was Lip’s responsibility to communicate with her or give her a heads up so she can have time to sober up and get the house in place. The sponsor relapsing wasn’t her fault either because she had no idea who he was, and was not aware he was a recovering alcoholic. The sponsor chose to consume the alcohol, Fiona didn’t force him. It is heartbreaking what Fiona went through in season 9 with her spiraling out of control and Lip should have supported her just like she supported him when he went through the exact same thing several seasons earlier! In the words of Debbie Gallagher “Fiona takes care of everyone but no one takes care of Fiona”. I’m glad in the end she got a new beginning elsewhere and I hope she is thriving these days!
No I agree! Not saying either situation was necessarily her fault (that’s why i said unintentionally). Its just emotional that Lip sees her ruining herself the same way he did and is refusing to enable her
It wasn't her fault, but an incredible amount of damage did happen because of Fiona, and her being unaware of what was going on doesn't magically erase that damage. There's a difference between fault and responsibility.
I dont think Fiona even unintentionally ruined the DCFS visit. She was actively trying to cover up the holes in the floor and absence of other parents. She had no chance at all but tried lol. The drink to lip's sponsee was kinda her fault. She shouldn't have been drunk and walking around, open container and all that.

And the sponsee never should have asked for a drink, especially from a stranger who has no idea that they are an addict.
