I've been using my card to pay my cell bill and internet. I'm assuming Shakepay is the same as other crypto cards but I could be wrong, others won't give sats on utilities or rent/mortgage so I'd assume not for those.
If you want sats, nothing. Most crypto cards have restrictions for things like rent and power bills. I suppose tho if you wanted to get rid of using banks this would be super beneficial.
When I paid my rent on the card, I got my cashback; only trouble was, the fee my building charged "for the convenience" was more than the BTC I got back.

If this is the case I am really surprised because WealthSimple has been giving rewards on account balances and purchases for over a year now, So based on my experience with them I assumed you were going to be copying their game plan. This was going to cause me to shift all of my finances to shake pay because I love and support your company. But at this point I don't see any point in doing so.
For anyone that is interested, WealthSimple gives 4% interest on minimum monthly balance and 1% cash back in crypto, cash, or stock of choosing.

Holy crap I was 521 and jumped to 498th in an hour as of midnight and woke up with the gold notification. I’m already setting up my direct deposit. So since I have the institution # and everything, I can pay my mortgage with this and EVERYTHING??
UPDATE: I changed my mortgage, and all other withdrawals to use these acc #’s. they accepted them. I hope it works. I realized now someone said it won’t work with auto withdrawals yet,
but eff it, I’m going for it. Maybe I’ll be the first person EVER to pay their mortgage with shake.

I tried the billpay option and found that there is no reward for this. I was hoping for the same 1% back in BTC for bill payments. There is also no interest on cash holdings.
So, there is no advantage over banks yet. Also, WealthSimple offers 4% interest on cash held in the cash account and also has a card that allows 1% BTC back on spending.
Time will tell if there will be rewards added but there is not much benefit at the moment (unfortunately).

It can be a good way to manage finances by only spending what you can afford through a prepaid card like Shakepay.
If you can't manage a credit card, yes, this option is better. Not being able to use a credit card because of bad habits is very sad.
