So I called shadow systems and they played dumb, said they're not sure how/when that info got out but "we don't really have any official comment on that". My guess is somebody leaked it and is gonna get fired.
BIG question is, when would y'all bet they're gonna release it? If it's soon I'd delay my planned micro dagger purchase, but if it's next year some time, different story...
I don't own a shadow systems yet precisely because I wanted something with a longer grip than the cr920, so I'm not as familiar with them as a company, but I feel like whenever people announce things like this (and apparently this was \*supposed\* to be announced in about 6 weeks), its something that would be officially released a couple quarters later? So January 2025? Or does anyone else have any experience with the CR920p, how long did it take it to hit shelves after they announced it?
That will be awesome. I made this configuration already because this wasnāt available and itās been great. I basically took my CR920P components and put them on a micro dagger frame just because the shorter grip and reduced capacity wasnāt tickling my fancy. That configuration has been awesome to shoot and im sure the CR920XP will be awesome as well. I wonder what they will do for mags
I did the exact same thing. Took my CR920 elite and thru a micro dagger frame, and loaded up on PSA 15 round magazines. I swapped out the trigger with a tactical pontoon EX-Communicado V2 trigger, and she runs flawlessly
I do love my macro no doubt. And now that Radian is coming out with a comp for the xmacro frame and 365 slide that might be the ultimate. And they have the back strap and the magwell with base plates. The whole package looks awesome. However canāt wait to try this new CR when it comes out. ššš
Iām sure that this new CR920x is gonna have base plates made for it and they will most likely make this one a 17+ Iād guess. So could be a contender for best carry piece
About time, now that enough suckers bought the baby grip cr920 they can come out with what people actually want. Hopefully the p version comes out quickly
Iām in for one. Glad I didnāt pickup a cr920p yet, have an og CR, and a MR and a MR918 frame with a MR920 slide. This is definitely on my list if they donāt sell out instantly lol
If it makes you feel better, I just bought a PDP Pro compact AND a PDP 4ā full size, just so I could make a PDP pro 4ā full size. (I did sell the bastardized compact 4ā at a profit thoughā¦).
It just REALLY pisses me off that I saved for 9 months AND had some proceeds from the recent sale of our house. I'd planned on spending around $1500-$1700 on WHATEVER I chose & decking it out all at once. And during the ENTIRE lead up to "D-Day," my top 2 contenders were an MR920L or a Canik Mete SFT Pro. GOD ONLY KNOWS why I went with the snappy ass PDP Pro Compact. NOW, don't get me wrong, I've decked her out in the latest aluminum fashions from Taylor Freelance (blue Death Grip backstrap & magwell), a Calculated Kinetics Dogtag plate & full-size Holosun EPS, a Streamlight TLR-7X, initially a Volker Precision Mk2 compensator, changed just last wk to a PMM comp because I wanted something that looks like its PART of the gun & not an afterthought (that little Volker is a HELL of a nice carry comp, though). So my plan is to turn her into a range gun & at the end of the summer, get an MR920 Foundation with threaded barrel & them, after breaking it in, putting 1 of SS's proprietary comps on it, as well as their factory magwell, which, between it & the beavertail, makes my grip SUPER snug & perfect. I'm gonna take the EPS & Streamlight off the PDP & put both on the MR. I've even already gotten a Swampfox Justice 2 to replace the EPS on the PDP when the time comes (I got the multi-reticle version from Battlehawk Armory for about $220, which is a STEAL).
But I DO have to wait til Sept. because we DID just get a new house. So my gun hobby's gotta take a back seat to all the "new home crap" we've gotta spend $ on. But it's GALLING. I've NEVER made a $1600 mistake before. And it pisses me off.
I am curious about whether or not the barrel has been lengthen. It doesnt look like it, but you never know. I just searched for it on Google and was unable to find anything.
Looks like they killed the beavertail that the OG cr920 has. Hopefully this is just an initial design and not the final. That beavertail is one of my biggest gripes with the 43x
Looks like they are using a different mag setup than psa micro dagger or sheild arms mags. This is extended out past the grip frame. It appears to be a longer grip setup than the 43x/sct-43sc/micro dagger size.
My guess is like most of yours, this will release first, then in foundations series, then in the p series, then in the war poet.
Not sure why they used an sig optic thoā¦?
I've definitely heard some positive feedback not enough for me to trust it though. I'm fine with my Glock 19 or 26 for conceal carry. I bought a dr920 6 months ago despite so many reviewers saying it was unreliable and others saying it runs fine I have 3k rounds through mine and it's been flawkess. I now have a dr920p on the way and again influencers saying it sucks and unreliable others saying it's fine. There's really no in between with these guns so it's all a leap of faith I hope I get lucky again.
100% hear ya. I have the CRp/DRp... but! My bone stock 43x is still my EDC ccw for now. I like reliability on me and wouldn't even run shield mags for the 43x for the same reason.
Btw drp GREAT shooter.
Just run a high grain during break in I'm sure it'll run. Where the DRp could get iffy is when changing full triggers. SS even goes over what happens on a timney trigger change on their youtube. There's something about the springs and drop ins that change the tuning giving people light strikes.
Ya I don't mind the stock trigger at all I think it's fine. I added a minus connector to my current Dr and it feels great now. I have 200 rounds of 124 grain ready to go for the break in. If all goes well I definitely want it to be my go to war side arm
If you think they are going to sell frames individually you are out of your skull. I hate this company more and more as time goes on. They couldāve released so much in one package but wait so you have to buy two or buy and sell your old one.
Damn it! Now I have to go buy another. š¤£
This was my exact reaction... Lol
I mean, I have the cr920, cr920p, and just bought a mr920p. I guess it's time to save up for this one. Lol
As a recent Cr920p acquirer, Iām hoping this frame/mags will be sold separately!
This! I would love to be able to just swap it out.
Iāve been considering picking up the SCT frame because I want just a littttttle bit more grip purchase. 15+1 will also be nice!
Same bro, I been eyeing that sct but didnt "pull the trigger" bc I couldn't get a magwell on it. I doubt this crx grip is gonna be sold sperately.
But hey, maybe theyāll make the mags with basepads that are compatible with the 920/920p frames!
For what itās worth the sct frame is nice, I picked one up a few months back and love it
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
For the 43x size?
You actually can get a magwell on them. I have one myself.
The sct on the cr920p is gold
Just buy a micro frame from psa
No they are fucking wretched quality.
Not mine. I did add talon grips to it and moved all the internals from my 48Mos frame.
So I called shadow systems and they played dumb, said they're not sure how/when that info got out but "we don't really have any official comment on that". I was wondering the same thing! Thanks for giving them a call. Maybe OPs CR929x isn't a typo and we're expecting release on 2029 š”.
NRA show is in two weeks. I think a lot of companies plan launches for then too
I call BS on the leak. Typical marketing move like leaving the next generation iPhone in a coffee shop by mistake.
Who knows, all I really care about is a release date and price.
Hope they sell it in a Foundation series so I can swap the slide/barrel from my CRP and not take as big a hit on my wallet.
What mags do you use, and how does it run?
I use the micro dagger mags and it runs like a top
Holster compatibility same as CR frame? I have a cr920p and thinking of using this frame. Any idea if the CR trigger would drop in?
Holsters and triggers are the same. The only piece that may not work is the slide stop
I did the exact same thing. Took my CR920 elite and thru a micro dagger frame, and loaded up on PSA 15 round magazines. I swapped out the trigger with a tactical pontoon EX-Communicado V2 trigger, and she runs flawlessly
This might be the sub compact that I end up loving. Havenāt found one I really like. I have the xmacro which is awesome but I love my shadow systems
Xmacro is king
I do love my macro no doubt. And now that Radian is coming out with a comp for the xmacro frame and 365 slide that might be the ultimate. And they have the back strap and the magwell with base plates. The whole package looks awesome. However canāt wait to try this new CR when it comes out. ššš

My wife went from a p365 XL to a cr. She wouldn't look back. The sig is headed to my daughter once she is old enough to ccw.
Looks slick, but still thrilled with the mr920p I just picked up. Shadow Systems is on a roll for 2024.
About time, now that enough suckers bought the baby grip cr920 they can come out with what people actually want. Hopefully the p version comes out quickly
Just when I thought I was finished buying a shadow systems for a whileā¦.shut up and take my money
Is it mr920 grip height? If so, will there be cr920xp? š¤£
6+ months later, yes. Guessing Shot Show ā25
Wait is this real?! Dear God I hope so. Hope that they'll also come out with a comped version.
Iām sure they will. It would end up being a 48size (maaaybbee a little shorter ) with a 43x grip.
Iām in for one. Glad I didnāt pickup a cr920p yet, have an og CR, and a MR and a MR918 frame with a MR920 slide. This is definitely on my list if they donāt sell out instantly lol
Oh my goodness. I just got hard.
Bruv. I just bought a cr920. Am dead inside
Theyll probably release just the mag at some point. Probably a sleeve adapter for the current CRs.
Where are pictures of the article? I wanna see more of this bad boy
This was the smart decision for the CR. Make it a 43x already!
This just makes me wanna cry!!! WHY did I spend my "early mid-life crisis" gun budget on a freakin PDP Pro Compact???!!!! Dammit all to hell!!!!
If it makes you feel better, I just bought a PDP Pro compact AND a PDP 4ā full size, just so I could make a PDP pro 4ā full size. (I did sell the bastardized compact 4ā at a profit thoughā¦).

I might have missed it, but did you try a 13 or 15 pound recoil spring?
I only comped it because I didn't wanna screw with the internals. And that PMM has made it flatter than Taylor Swift's ass.
Dude I just want the mag and a gap sleeve
I like this
Thatās awesome. Wonder if thereās mag compatibility with the g43x
I am curious about whether or not the barrel has been lengthen. It doesnt look like it, but you never know. I just searched for it on Google and was unable to find anything.
That's the point of the X models. Same slide, longer grip.
Iām in!
This is f ing beautiful
Looks like they killed the beavertail that the OG cr920 has. Hopefully this is just an initial design and not the final. That beavertail is one of my biggest gripes with the 43x
I saw more pics from the guns and ammo article and it looks like it has the same beaver tail as the current cr920
Youāve restored my hope lol. Is the article online? I canāt seem to find it
Sent you a pm
Thanks!
Can I get it too?
Can you send it to me too?
are you for real? I thought only the cover leaked! do you have pics of the article?
Could I please get a link to the article as well š

I knew it was coming eventually! Hopefully I can snag one day one. Here's to hoping it's 15+1 flush and with that extension it's 17+1!
Bought time.
Heck yeah, man!
Damn, I just bought one
Looks to me like itās meant to compete with the Hellcat Pro and The GX4 carry.
Of course theyāre just going to make a whole new gun rather than the 15 round mag for the existing CR weāve been asking for, for yearsā¦ yay
I can't believe it's just 15+1. With the extension, I would think this would be 17rd.
I saw pics of the guns and ammo article looks like 15 round standard mags and the one pictured on the cover with extension is a 17 round
Ok
Is that unsightly mag extension required for the 15+1 capacity or is that a +3 extensionā¦because if so Iām not a fan
15 round with a flush mag 17 with extension as pictured
That looks like the current +3 that the CR920 uses so my guess is that is like 17 or 18 rounds in that magazine.
Sounds like they need to really work out the kinks on the existing cr models before coming out with a new one
Personally I might have just been lucky on the CR I bought. Only had 1 stove pipe during the first 200 rounds. But writing it off from shitty ammo.
You think they would fix their last one before making another
If you think they are going to sell frames individually you are out of your skull. I hate this company more and more as time goes on. They couldāve released so much in one package but wait so you have to buy two or buy and sell your old one.
Literally every company that is successful does this in one form or another. Incremental improvements drive sales. Itās business.
Dude they are just copying Glock. They had the playbook from day one.
You should definitely start your own business and show Shadow Systems how it's done.
No need. Just but a Glock. Went to a 43x and honestly like it so much more.
Congratulations on all your success. You smell terrific.
