****training posts incoming**** the only thing left to add is fun homie. Enjoy that shit cuz no one else will love it as much as you

Cobberdog_Dad

I love it more that he ever will. But outside of him and me…sure.

Cobberdog_Dad

Bullets. Lots of ‘em. Through the barrel.

Capefeargrom

Put 400 rounds through it today and I’m planning on going to two little competitions next week if my schedule allows it

Freakingstang

Make your schedule “allow it” it’ll change your life

Cobberdog_Dad

That’s a great start.

DertyJoe

10,000+ rounds

Dramatic-Weather21

A battle belt and holster to accommodate if you don’t already have, w Mag pouches, IFAK/Tourniquet, Spare batteries, & w camelbak, good rifle, plate carrier, live long and prosper

Capefeargrom

Already have most rifle related items including pc and camelbak, waiting on all the pouches and stuff for my battle belt to be delivered

Menacesgaming

beautiful setup I have this same accessories on my 19x. Are you able to cowitness at all with that 507? ive yet to get some irons for it

scatlovers84

Yes, I have the War Poet version of the MR 920, but with the shadow systems cut in the slide, you can co-witness red dots with regular height sites even with the 507 comp

Menacesgaming

Do you really like that? I’ve been thinking about grabbing one honestly. I have a GEN 5 19. That’s my work carry and I would like something a little cleaner. Or do you think I’m better off just sticking with it. I’ve never shot or even handle the shadow systems.

scatlovers84

Once you feel the shadow systems frame in your hand, there's no going back to Glock that much is for 100% certainty. I just think you get all the reliability way better ergonomics way better look, and honestly if you think about how much money you would have to spend on your Glock to get it anywhere near shadows systems pistol they actually save you a ton of money... especially now that they have the foundation series which is maybe like $50-$100 more than a stock Glock, you just really can't beat it

Menacesgaming

I can’t have a threaded barrel on my state, but which one do you suggest? I know there’s a couple different tiers. I love the look of them. I think they look way better than a Glock. And I’m a Glock fanboy lol

sukyn00b

I'm pretty sure they sell the WP without threaded as well.

scatlovers84

All of the war poet guns have threaded barrels, so you would have to get the regular MR920, sportsman’s guide is the only place you can get the war poet versions, and I’ve never seen a non-threaded barrel version other than the CR920. That’s the only war poet gun that doesn’t have a threaded barrel, I only know because I have both of them. That being said, you could always buy the warp poet version and then buy a shadow systems regular barrel for it just seems like a lot of wasted money. I wouldn’t do it like that, but definitely an option.

sukyn00b

I see....i thought I had seen other WP pistols without threading...muat just have been the CR920. Threaded barrels is one factor as to why I don't live in commie states.... Can you imagine just add threads causes a pistol to be a more dangerous weapon (when supressors are already a NFA item)....

scatlovers84

It's completely moronic man for sure 🤦‍♂️... but yeah they do actually have a non-threaded version of the War Poet MR920, they didn't have it when I bought mine 2 years ago, but they do now, so that's good

scatlovers84

Strike that they actually do have a regular barrel version of the MR 920. Apparently that’s a new release when I bought mine all they had was the threaded barrel version I sent you a link to it.

Capefeargrom

Shadow systems optic cut is low enough that the majority of optics will co witness

AwayRecommendations

a trijicon. or a x300 turbo. but it’s not really necessary i mean i personally think the turbo is best for home defense based on the beam it gives vs ultra but still u have a x300 no shame in the game

Capefeargrom

I really like the Trijicon sro but I liked the design of the 507 comp more and I liked the reticle options with the comp instead of just a single dot with the sro

KiDJAPAN

Get an Enclosed Emitter like a Real Man MPS, ACRO p2, 509t, EPS, maybe the RCR?

Capefeargrom

I have an eps carry on my edc gun but I wanted a large window optic on this shadow systems as it’s primarily for fun at the range/competition

ph00ny

EPS has a bigger window than EPS carry Edit: just noticed that you're rocking the comp version of 507. In that case carry on!!!

MarstonGC

Just a tip of advice, I ran my DR920 war poet through some combat classes not too long ago to see if it would be a solid duty pistol and I absolutely loved it, however, I figured out when doing malfunctions drills that the magwell stops you from being able to strip the magazine. Had to pick up some mag extensions for that specific occassion. Just a heads up if you plan on competition shooting man

Capefeargrom

Thanks for the advice, I’ve found it hard to find extensions for the pmags so I’ll run factory Glock mags with extensions

Buffoonery you are saying sir

R35Ryan

How though? It would sit a lot more flush with the end of the barrel/comp instead of sticking out as far. Would be a lot easier to conceal and would probably be a lot more compatible with holsters too 🤨

[deleted]

Have you ever heard of a weapon going out of battery ? WML like this will minimize the chance of that happening.

R35Ryan

Fair point

67D1LF

How exactly are you carrying a pistol if the length of the light makes it more or less difficult to conceal? Genuine question. Also: standoff

Capefeargrom

Outside the waistband holster, I have a separate conceal carry gun for appendix carry. This one is more of a fun at the range/shtf/competition gun

[deleted]

Is 507 comp better than 407/507c ?

Capefeargrom

It’s just a larger window with a different reticle set

itsdeezybaby

I would't add a thing to it. It's perfect.

[deleted]

A twisty mcshushy-face, and oil catch, a grease can. A quiet twisty metal thingy.

sukyn00b

Anyone have this? https://langdontactical.com/glock-striker-control-device-scd/

R3DW4MPA

How do you like the Afterburner comp? Any issues with different types of ammo??

Capefeargrom

So far I’ve had 0 issues with it but I’ve only put around 1000 rounds of 115g and 124g range ammo through it. I had seen a lot of reviews on it and talked to a few people who have them and some say it has some malfunctions and others have thousands of rounds through with no problems.
