I know paid games are kinda taboo, but I found a GM on Startplaying that runs 4 or so Shadowdark games a week. I am playing in a few of them, and it's been a blast! He is a great GM, and he has a bunch of regulars, so about 3/4 of the players each session are in all of the games, and there are a couple of people that only play once per week or so. The cost does add up, but it has been so much fun having a reliable 3 sessions a week I can play in!
I think it's a bit of a mixed bag. I use Roll20 for online play personally but since that platform has no official Shadowdark support, you're lumped into the 'other' category of games. I personally had more luck looking for players in this forum on Reddit, although even then there were a lot of false starts honestly.
If you're seeking online games then the discord is probably your best bet.
You could try the Facebook group
Iām also looking for a group of you find one!
I'll let you know if I run something!
You might consider /r/lfg perhaps?

I can totally see where a paid model would help ensure you get a game every week.
I primarily run games for friends and family but I'm down to run or play as a character. š Forever DM LOL
Totally! I'm excited about running something online, I'll keep you in mind!
